Propane Sales Services
They are good. They come by and check the propane level and let us know when we need to get it. I have had no problems with them. If we have a problem, they come and take care of it. I can call them in the morning and they will be out the same day. They are very professional.

Propane Sales Services
We built our home 6 years ago, and Suburban Propane sold us our tank, which is buried in our yard. Up until now, we only used propane for 2 fireplaces, and a dual fuel range. Therefore, we have only filled the tank a couple times. We just has a tankless 199,000 BTU tankless water heater installed, so our gas use will increase substantially. I called to check current pricing at our local office, but always get a recording that says and quot;Unusually high call volumeand quot; and I get transferred to another location. I was quoted $4.849/gallon for a tank fill. When I questioned why the rate is so high, I was told that because our usage is low, and they now price on consumption. I explained that I was going to be buying allot more due to the water heater, but they refused to budge on price. Knowing that the current rate for propane is approximately $2.09-$2.29/gal., I told Suburban that I did not want them to fill the tank, and the rep. confirmed that I could purchase my propane anywhere since I owned the tank.
I ordered my propane from another supplier at $2.09/gallon.
A few days later the tank was filled by Suburban, and a bill for $4.849/gallon was left. I cancelled the fill from the other supplier, and I called Suburban to explain that I did not order the fill, and they verified they made the mistake. I explained that I would be buying our propane from a different supplier, but since they already filled the tank, I would pay the current market rate of $2.09 (which all propane dealers pay about the same for their bulk gas). They called me back from a 513 area code (Ohio), and informed me that they would be at our home the next day to take their gas back from my tank. I again explained I would send them a check for a fair price, and they would be loosing money to pump back out, and inconvenience us to have the tank drained, and refilled again, however, they would not consider it.
I now realize after some research it is a common practice for Suburban Propane to auto fill, or fill when not wanted, and then charge a absurd price. They have lost another good customer based on these practices, and overpriced fuel delivery.
