Each crew that has come to the house so far has been very courteous and careful not to make any more mess than necessary. They have cleaned up well and done a good job at what they are hired to do. I am very pleased and more than happy to recommend Paul Davis Restoration.

Poorly. These guys were awful: slow, constantly behind schedule with several days of sub-contractors not showing up, always over priced, attempted to charge for services that were not performed, expecting me to do part of their job by locating materials and samples when they said they would bring; charged for PPE during COVID that they did not even disburse to their sub-contractors to wear. Their lead contact expected to have work on my home postponed for over a week while he went on vacation to a COVID hotspot, and then had every expectation that he was coming back into my home without quarantining when the state stipulated such. They over promised multiple times, and would simply change their minds and not complete. I'm following up with the insurance company who recommended them if it helps you to know how bad the service was. In short, I HIGHLY recommend that you avoid using Paul Davis. Like the plague. They earned their last place of 3 national market share with poor service. Just. Bad.

Excellent on the second job; first job took a lot longer than I expected due to some difficulties with the brick layers.

The actual work, once completed was fine. Getting the work actually done was very frustrating. The theme of the project was "over promise and under deliver." It started with the estimate. I was told by the person who came out that he would have the estimate for me next week, possibly even this weekend. Two weeks later I emailed him to inquire about the estimate, at which time I was told, "we've been busy, I'll have it for you next week." The end of the following week, I finally got the estimate which I approved. I was then sent a contract via email which I electronically signed and returned. I heard nothing for a week following until I contacted them to inquire as to the next step. I was told I needed to pay half before the project would be scheduled. I sent the check, which they received at which time I was told they would be out next week to complete the project. Three weeks later, I contacted them to see when they would be coming. I was again told, "we've been busy", and he said his person would be out "tomorrow". This was the Friday before Labor Day weekend, and I seriously doubted they would work Labor Day weekend. Lies are one thing, stupid lies are something else. Their crew did show up on the following Tuesday without the needed materials or tools. They said they would be back by Friday or contact me. I heard nothing from them for two weeks, so I again contacted them and was told the work was completed the previous week. Upon checking the windows, it was, indeed completed. I have several other projects around my house which will be more expensive that need to be done. This project was Paul Davis' audition for those projects, and I doubt I will hire them again. Bottom line: My experience of Paul Davis Restoration: -Poor Communication. -Making promises they fail to live up to. "Over promise... under deliver" -The work itself appears to be of good quality -Kind of expensive for the work done.

"Thank you for the review or our services. We're sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction in general, and the quality of communication in particular. Communication is something we're aware is key for any project to be completed satisfactorily and successfully. It's clear that we weren't effective communicators when it came to your project. Would you be willing to reach out to me so that I can briefly discuss the issues you had? You will find my contact information under our company profile. Thank you in advance, should you decide to do so!"

Mr. Lucchese coordinated both the water damage repair to our home and our additional renovations. He was meticulous in planning the work, scheduling the various subcontractors, and ensuring that we knew who was coming and when. He kept us apprised of changes and was a frequent visitor to our home during the whole process. If we had questions or were concerned over any element during the repair/renovation process, Mr. Lucchese was available, readily answered our questions, and ensured all concerns were addressed to our satisfaction throughout the total repair/remodel process.

Their work had to all be redone and repairs were made because of the damaged they caused. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Response from Paul Davis Restoration of Lexington
"We are sincerely sorry that you were not happy with the work that was performed at your property, and that a resolution that benefited both parties could not be reached. The relationship between our company and yourself ended without any money being paid to us, after we expensed in excess of $20,000 to your project. Those were expenses that were absorbed by us, because you were unhappy with the work, and we believed that to be a fair compromise. At the time of our contract with you we were, and currently remain, a preferred contractor in good standing with your insurance carrier. We are human beings just like everyone else, and we make mistakes. One of the reasons that we remain in good standing with your insurance carrier is because of our history of reaching out and successfully resolving issues that we are made aware of."

Response from Paul Davis Restoration of Lexington
"We were at the time of your claim, and remain, a preferred contractor for your insurance carrier. The reasons for this, are our consistent quality of work, and our record of reaching out to correct issues on jobs that we have performed work on. As for our pricing, we use the standard Xactimate price list. Xactimate is the standardized estimating system for the insurance industry nation wide, and for your carrier as well. Our estimates are submitted to a third party administrative company for approval before being sent to your carrier for approval. The estimate, and pricing, was approved by both parties before repairs began. If we are not mistaken, most of our issues came from not being able to reach you at provided contact numbers to gain entry to your house with your approval, as you requested. In the interest of expediency and efficiency, we utilized the lock box that you approved to have left on your property so that tradespeople could gain access. We did cease work on your claim when it was made abundantly clear to our Associate that he was not welcome on your property, to the extent that he was uncomfortable returning. We only received payment for work that was completed, which you would have had to approve for it to be issued."

It went real well. We are really satisfied with him. He worked with our insurance and his work is guaranteed for a year for labor and material. He was respectful and communicated well with us. They hit their targets pretty much on.
