I hired this service based on their Angie's List rating. They started quite early with the service, but many of the other treatments were late according to their own schedule, sometimes coming for a scheduled treatment only when prompted. Since this was my first experience with such a service, I can't really speak to how well or poorly theirs compared to other such services, but I can say that a side yard patch is completely overrun by broad-leaf growth, and the crabgrass didn't disappear until after their "late summer/early fall" treatment. I ended up treating it myself during the summer.

Today is mid May and I’ve been calling to get on the local Lawn Doctor schedule for seeding and aeration since mid March to no avail even though we paid in full for this years services on February 9th. We’ve received no treatments either. As of mid April, I’ve been calling to get a full refund since I am getting nowhere with services but Lawn Doctor does not call me back. My husband and I have reached out to corporate and they in turn have reached out to the local Lawn Doctor and the Regional Business Manager, to help. I reached out to the CEO of Lawn Doctor, and he in turn had a representative in Corporate Customer Service, get involved. I have still not heard a word from this guy and he still has almost $500 of our money. As mentioned and as their Call Center records should show (and supported by case / tickets auto generated to our email address and notes taken by corporate CSR), we’ve had zero response by the local Lawn Doctor. I’ve called no less than 3x a week since mid March. It looks like my only recourse is small claims court at this point.

The results were amazing!! My lawn was out of control with weeds. After Lawn Doctor's 1st application, not only were the weeds eradicated, but my grass has grown in thicker.

They applied fertilizers and herbicides at various intervals during th summer and fall. I could not see much improvement of my lawn at all.

I would highly recommend the services of lawn doctor. The pay as you go method works great for me and their personalized communication and explanation of services for every visit makes it feel like they actually care about you as a customer. In the first year of service I had a few questions on lawn care, and they were very quick to offer me a suggestion/solution. Our lawn has significantly improved in the first year and am looking forward to further improvement next year.

After two treatments, our yard looks worse than when we initially called lawn doc. I don't believe they treated the entire yard, or if they did, their treatment is ineffective. Also, I specifically asked that our mulch bed along the front of our house be treated, and the tech's notes indicate he did however, the weeds are flourishing and show no sign of treatment 3 days later. I do not recommend this company.

"We did treat the mulch bed, as the owner I have done the first 2 services on this lawn, and it was full of weeds when I started on it, and after only two treatments it is nearly weed free. I also did not charge this lady anything to treat the mulch beds, we simply touched up the weeds in them the best we could, which is all you can do, as you have to be very careful you do not hit and bushes or ground plantings. I always do simple request like this, and generally do not charge even though we normally charge additional for mulch bed treatments, as they are not included with a lawn care program. I am truly shocked by this review, I even told the technician who was with me how bad the lawn looked when I did the first service on it, and how well it looked last week. My reviews on this site speak for them selves, and honestly have no idea why this lady wrote this up. It is also lawn fungus time, which is why many lawns, no matter who is doing them, have brown spots in them... It's called brown patch fungus, which I left her information behind on."

Has done a decent job so far. Pricing was competitive. Had to check in to see when I got my next service as it seemed longer than it should. Weeds have been less but didn't get rid of everything.

After two years of great service and a very strong lawn, Lawn Doctor worked with us to develop a program that would work for us at below the normal recommendations to meet our needs.
They are willing to work with us to meet our needs. Their service and products work well and our law looks great!. They have improved their responsiveness and immediate help with additional staff and I can say I would recommend them to anyone needing to have their lawn look better and get rid of weeds.

I PREPAID AND FOR THE FIRST 3 SERVICES I REVCEIVD A BILL. MY GRASS LOOKS WORSE THAN LAST

"I spoke with this customer about his billing issue and let him know I had it under control. We had just switched to a new software program, and his pre-payment was keyed in wrong. I let him know I handle all of the billing and payments myself, and that I know what is going on and he need not worry about it. As far as his comment on his lawn about it looking worse than last year, I would have to disagree. His lawn did just fine, I spent a lot of extra time over the summer working on fighting out Johnson Grass, Paspalum, and Dallisgrass. These 3 grasses can not be prevented like Crabgrass can, and most of competitors do not even treat for them. We had great weather last year, and lawns did fine across the board. Other than the billing issue, which was a simple office error, I do not understand why this person has written a poor review. I learned many years ago to never take anything personal in this line of work, and had this lawn not done well, I would be the first to own it and admit it, but that was simply not the case."
