I would not do business with this company. They did not follow instructions for a very simple countertop.

I would not recommend Kentucky Marble and Granite. This is long but explains why. Multiple issues. Selecting countertop was good - big selection and staff helpful. We came back a second time to look at another sheet of the same granite and specifically told them we were buying it so the large interesting vein would be at the end of the peninsula. This was written down. The man who came out to measure was rude, rushed and dismissive. I reminded him that the vein was to go at the end area. I tried to show him our kitchen plans but he said he didn’t need them. I told him we wanted a counter overhang so we could sit on one side of the peninsula and he entered that on his IPad. He was here for 15 mins. He did mention that the cabinets were not level and I told him we would have them fixed. He complained about our sink choice, house access. Very irritable. The installer came - very nice. I was so excited to see the counters especially the dramatic vein (overall the background was fairly bland so the vein added a lot of character. Counters were brought in - vein was at the wall end - exactly where our countertop counter was going. Called the shop - was told the granite cutters “get to make the last decision on how to lay it out”. No call, no heads up. Over $4000 countertop. Nonfunctional kitchen without them. So they installed them. The peninsula was not cut square so there’s an uneven overhang. Called office - the measurer “must have noticed the cabinets were off square”. Never mentioned it - only the level being off which we fixed. AND the barn overhang was only 6 inches. Our plans (which he “didn’t need” was for 12 inches. Called office - “this is what he entered and you agreed to”. Explained above - didn’t matter. Trying to fix the shallow knee room, we had the idea of buying part of the remaining piece at 10 inches wide and use decorative risers to elevate it off the counter and then tall legs to support the counter extension - this would give about 12 inches of knee room. Called and asked about piece. Was told that this would be a “new order” and they couldn’t price it associated with our initial purchase. No price break - in fact MORE per sq. ft. than for the original larger order because of this! $1295. Ask her to check with manager - no change. Asked to speak with owner - given number, left message, no call back. Be warned.

It went great. They went out of their way to find the granite I wanted. I didn't see any on their lot that I loved so when I sent them pictures of things I liked, they contacted other suppliers until they found what I loved, in my price range! There was an issue during the install where the holes for the facet were drilled too close to the sink. When I notified them, they sent someone back the very next day and they had it fixed that afternoon. I would use them again and recommend to anyone looking for granite or Quartz countertops.

Back splash was in two pieces, they were going to install and explained it broke until I refused to accept 2 pieces with the seam in the middle of the vanity. Fortunately, they cut a solid piece after I complained. Holes for sink were not cut properly requiring my tile contractor to fix, so he could install the fixtures. Light plates did not fit because the back splash was too tall, again, requiring my tile contractor to fix. One of the installers cut their finger and bled on my counter and travertine tile (again for my tile contractor to clean up), also when they were drilling holes for faucets, the bag wasn't on the vacuum which blew dust all over the bathroom and adjoining bedroom and to finish, one of the installers asked to use my bathroom and let's just say, it was nasty smelling and he took more time in the bathroom than working . Granite is beautiful... That's the only good thing about the job. I believe that this company should be sending a check to my tile contractor!!!!

All went well except the counter/dishwasher connection.  Apparently they did not have the proper screws and used  a screw that they cut.   The screws rusted and the dishwasher worked itself loose in a matter of a few weeks. As a result the top of the new stainless steel dishwasher was scratched by the rough cut screws.
When I called the general contractor back to repair they showed the screws to me and explained it was done when the granite was installed.

Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend them.
The selection process went well.  The sales associate was very helpful with us making a decision on what stone to choose, edge style and back splash.  We ended up with a Black Pearl stone which is very dark.  They worked with us on the price and it was reasonable (not great but fair and better than another quote we had from another supplier).  There were no issues with the person that came out to create the template.  The install went pretty well.  They took care to do it right, however the polish in the area where there was a seam didn't turn out too well.  There was also a light, suspicious arc that was in the stone that looked like something was defective. We called them back to look at it.  After about a week later, the owner came by to take a look at our concerns.  He agreed that the polish needed to be redone and scheduled someone to redo it right away.  The arc we saw had mostly faded away and the owner said he thought it was just something natural in the stone.  We agreed and it has not been an issue.  The polish turned out much better and the countertop looks beautiful.
