Had Vinyl liner replaced on our 20’x40’ pool which is 8’deep. Also replaced wall foam and had bead lock installed all the way around top of the Liner. Antonio and his co-worker handled the installation and Zach Murphy handled the scheduling. I have used this company before and have always been pleased with their work. Would absolutely use them again! I definitely recommend!

They're just up the street. They're more prompt because they can make an appointment. I don't think they're as organized. I think the quality of their work is fine. They don't communicate well. They don't note what they've done.

9/2008: paid Geddes Pool $41,000.00 for an in ground pool.
summer 2009: pool light burned out and leak at sand filter.  Geddes not very friendly when approached to fix these items but they did.
summer 2010: the leak started..it took about 1000 gallons a week to keep level up. Geddes said it was evaporation or tear in liner. After repeated visits to their office, they finally came out and leak tested the liner and lines and underwater light. They put 2 small patches on the liner and everything else checked out fine, except the main drain lines which could not be isolated for pressure testing. Of course I had to pay for this service.
Fall 2010: Geddes men closed the pool for the winter. They blew out the water in the lines as required and also blew out the lines thru my solar panels.
Spring 2010: The solar panels leaked from the pressure used to blow out the panels the previous fall. Pool also leaking water about 1000gallons a week. Geddes did not want to hear this but they credited me for cost of new solar panels which I installed and they repeated the leak was evaporation. Funny because I have a $10,000 retractable cover which is used to cover the pool when not used.
Fall 2010: I put the pool up for the winter, bought a special blower to evacuate the pool lines and weatherproofed the system myself.
Summer 2011: Still fighting with Geddes over leak...this time they came out and detached the liner and could not find any leaks, said it was evaporation.
2012: gave up fighting with Geddes and just put lots of water in the pool.
2013: It is now January and the pool was put up for the winter last October. It has now lost half its water and the level is at the bottom of the underwater light. I hope it stops there as the leak may be coming from the light. If not, its in the main drains. Probably have to get a lawyer and go to court as this is a very expensive problem to fix.

I went to the Geddes Pool Company and stated that I believed that I had a water leak in the skimmer of my pool. The pool was losing water, when I vacuumed the pool it had very weak suction, and when I held my hand over the skimmer outlet I could actually hear air flow. They did not seem very interested in helping me and instead insisted that I purchase a bottle of Fixaleak for $34.99 plus tax. They said follow the directions and it would fix the leak. I left the store and read the directions; they very clearly said it would not work on the suction line. I went back into the store and explained that the directions stated that it would not work. The lady in charge of the pool department argued with me and said I read the directions wrong. She gave me the phone number of the company and told me to call them. I did and they agreed with me. Needless to say I returned the Fixaleak for a full refund. I later went to another pool store, they were interested, and they sent people out, found the leak and repaired it.

Just had a appointment to provide a bid. This company seemed to only prefer to build vinyl liner or Gunite pools, not fiberglass. If one of those types are pools are what you want, I believe they would do a good job. If fiberglass is your choice, you may want to look elsewhere.

Overall, the experience went well. We've used them for awhile. The woman who runs the pool part of the company, Mary Anne, is a pool expert. She gave me alot of good advice on which design of liner would be better (as far as not having the seams show and how much it would fade over the years). She's also very personable. Their workers are competent and arrive in a timely manner. After the work was done, we had an issue with the liner, and as soon as we brought that to their attention, they came right back and fixed the issue. We're very pleased with their service.

They came the first time, opened our pool and show us what we needed to know as first time pool owners. They did not charge us for this extra service. We then had a leak develop and there was a misunderstanding between my husband and I regarding the time of the service call. The patch that Geddes provided did not fix the problem and my husband provided a putty that did work. They did not charge us for the service call.
