I highly recommend Elite Building Products. They installed 14 double hung window in my house and I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. I was apprehensive on getting this work done because I’ve read a lot of reviews of major window companies on the hard sells and cons they sometimes do; like a sale price that expires the same day if you don’t sign, having to talk with their manager on a special price they offer, bait and switch but Rob Blakeman, the owner, was nothing but pleasant and took the time to explain his work, products, cost and what was going to be done. From talking with him, it struck me that he cares very much about his reputation and especially about his customers. I was pleasantly surprised on his quote. What builder pushes you to a less pricey option but equal performance product? All of his crew has been with him for 10 years or more so they have experience doing this type of work whereas other major companies sometimes contract the installation out. I was amazed on how methodical they were. They were quick and proficient, paid attention to detail and left the work site spotless. They even saved me some money by sealing some creaked mortar and modifying some window trim to cover it up. If you already have some quotes, call Rob at (859) 806-7287. You won’t regret it. We needed 25 windows for our late thirties built house that we recently purchased. We got five different bids from various companies and as expected they varied widely. The bids ranged from $18,000 for just the upstairs to around $9,000 for the whole house. We had received a referral for Elite from a friend who said they sold a good product. I did some research on the various windows from the various vendors and was impressed with the quality of the product sold by Elite.
Elite was not the absolute cheapest bid we got, but it seemed fair and was a better product according to my research. (The price was better than all except the big out of state chain.) I like dealing with a locally owned business rather than a big chain. Our windows were dual tone - cream on the outside and white on the inside, so there was a charge for that. They have mullions on the top half so they look exactly like the old windows from the street - only better! They are low-e glass for energy efficiency. The Alside Mezzo window that we selected meets 2015 energy efficiency standards and has a double thickness glass in addition to the dual pane.
Rob Blakeman, the owner of the company, visited our home and gave us the quote. He also did the measurements. The time to delivery was 4 weeks rather that the 8+ weeks from the other vendors. This was accurate and the install was scheduled right around the 4 week time frame. The installers that work with Elite are professional and did a terrific job. They left NO MESS at all. They even rehung my blinds. It could not have been easier or look better. Rob was onsite every day during the install. They set all 25 windows on the first day and then finished the trim over 2 shorter days (they had to stop early on day 2 because of weather).
This was a major home improvement that will increase our home's value and save us energy costs. I would recommend Elite as a vendor for window replacement to anyone!

Rob came to our home and spent an hour with us, going over all choices for windows. (Please note I do not remember the exact amount of the total bill, but $8,000 is approximate). We replaced all of them except the block window in the master bath and the specialty window above our front door. They look great and I love them. He did a great job and when we have called him since then, he remembers who we are and to me, that's pretty impressive. He wanted the job to be done right and it was. Just recently we put our home on the market and realized that a seal was broken on one window. I called him and immediately they ordered a new seal to fix the one that was broken. Now that's service.
