Steps were raised 6 inches.

They could level the sidewalk using slab-jacking, but I was not confident that they could raise the front steps. At the time I talked with them, I did not know about the concept of raising the steps using a pier system. I learned about this later ... with someone else.

The crew arrived on time and worked very efficiently to get the steps to the desired height. They gave me detailed directions about the materials I would need and procedure to follow to fill in the gap behind the steps. Couldn't be happier with their work!

The techs that came to do the job - Matt and Ryan - were great  They were on-time, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable.  They explained the process to me, and then took extreme care in leveling an area that abutted the foundation, a door, and a large, heavy double gate.  They went the extra mile by adjusting the gate latch so that it would close easily after the concrete was raised.  They also leveled a section of concrete on the walk to my porch - looks brand new.  They cleaned up everything when they were finished.  Everything looks great, the concrete is level with the door jamb again, my gate works better than it did before the work, and they couldn't have been nicer. 

NOTE:  Because my job was considered small for this company, Steve Shipley added leveling the section of walk because he said that the area around the door was not a big enough job for their minimum cost!  I really appreciate his honesty and that he told me this and added an additional job.  Thanks, A-1 Concrete!

Not sure of exact date but their representative was very professional.

A-1 did a great job.  I would recommend them to anyone.

From my first contact with JB, to our first meeting the next day for an estimate, to my contact the day before work was to be performed, to the day of ,work was to be performed, the contact with his crew of 4 was congenial and professional.  the work was performed decently and cleanly. WELL DONE JB, it was my pleasure to meet you and your crew and observe professionals at work.

Everything was handled in a very courteous and professional manner. Person who came to give estimate arrived on day and time scheduled, and he and other workers were on time the day the work was scheduled to be performed. Price was very reasonable for the amount and quality of work that was done. Everyone I met that was associated with the company was very friendly and did not seem to be in a frantic hurry to complete the work. Will definitely contract A-1 Concrete Leveling again if the need arises.

After submitting a request online, A-1 emailed an estimate the next day. I accepted the estimate and they completed the work a few days later. They did an excellent job leveling the sidewalk, and the final bill matched the estimate exactly. They also did a great job cleaning up. Would definitely use them again!

Mr. Shipley came out and assessed our foundation issues, was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and sent us a contract within a timely manner.  He expected that we would be two to three weeks out from the date of completion, and it was exactly two weeks.  Any calls we made about the process or timeline were always returned within the business day.  The morning of the scheduled date, we received a call from his office letting us know that his employees were on their way.  They arrived promptly, were efficient, professional, and educated us further on the process of mudjacking.  While the work was being completed, Mr. Shipley called to check on the progress of the job.  When it was determined that it wouldn't take as long as originally planned, he took $250.00 off of the originally quoted amount.  His employees cleaned up the area and let us know that they were a phone call away if we had any questions.  It is important to note that mudjacking does not leave you with a finished pristine concrete floor. Depending on the age/condition of your floors, there may be cracks that need to be filled.  We decided to fill those cracks before our new carpet was installed.  We called Mr. Shipley, and he gave us the product to buy and the name of the business that would be most knowledgeable.  We are very pleased with our experience with A-1 Concrete and will use them if we have any future foundation issues.

They answered our inquiry immediately. Because it was winter, they needed to wait until Spring to do the work, We were notified when the Spring thaw had unfrozen the ground adequately for them to do the job and arrived as scheduled. We were very satisfied with the work. A number of our neighbors asked us for their contact number and even a professional contractor who specializes in home and apartment repairs, inside and outside, asked us who did the work so that he could use them.

Went as expected, no problems.  Solved my problem

Awesome. Engaged them late in season, so they had to wait for a warm day.. First warm day they were here and slab lift was successful.

|Excellent--timely, fast , cleaned up after themselves

Mr. Shipley explained all the problems he could observe.  He explained them in detail in an easy to understand manner.  He advised me that the problems may or may not worsen, but he described what I should look for in the future.  He listened to my concerns and fears and put them to rest for the time being.  He advised that in his opinion nothing he saw warranted any action on his part at this time and he told me he did not feel anything he saw was important enough to need an action currently.  He did advise me what may or may not happen and when to contact him in the future if certain things did occur.  He was prompt, professional, friendly, helpful, and appeared very knowledgable.  I will definitely contact him in the future if my home needs any concrete leveling or foundation repair.
