I have had one other experience with a hard drive crash that needed data recovered, and knew from that experience that there is always a chance that not all your data can be recovered. Star Computers told me what I needed to do and what I could possibly expect as the outcome. I provided the new hard drive, gave them the broken one, and after a couple of weeks got the new one back with my old data on it, and also got the old drive back as well. (The old drive was still under warranty and the manufacturer gave permission to open it up to recover the data before sending it back to them for replacement.) I hooked up the new drive to my computer and everything was there, in a format in which everything was easy to find (pictures, music, documents, etc.). Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. I'm sure I will be giving them repeat business as the need arises.
