Jewelry Sales/Design/Repair
WE PUT THE RINGS AWAY AND THEN ON SEPTEMBER 2ND, WE GOT MARRIED. THREE DAYS LATER, SEPTEMBER 5TH, I LOOKED DOWN AND MY DIAMOND WAS GONE. WE GOT AN ESTIMATE TO REPLACE THE DIAMOND, STRAIGHTEN THE BAND AND REPAIR CRACKS FROM ANOTHER JEWELER. THE TOTAL COST OF REPAIRS IS $76.50. I THEN TOOK IT TO JEWEL KING TO HAVE IT REPAIRED, AND HE YELLED AT ME, TELLING ME THAT I HAD ABUSED THE RING AND THAT HE HAD NOT DONE ANYTHING WRONG.

"THE MEMBER, IN HER OWN WORDS, STATED THE BAND NEEDED STRAIGHTENING AND CRACKS NEEDED REPAIR. SHE WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE RING IF IT WERE IN THAT CONDITION. SHE OWNED THE RING FOR 5 MONTHS BEFORE SHE BROUGHT IT BACK TO OUR STORE. IF YOU BUY A CAR AND THEN GO OUT AND WRECK THE FENDER, DO YOU TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SAY IT'S THEIR FAULT? WHEN A CUSTOMER STARTS USING THE *EXPLETIVE* WORD AND YELLING, THEY ARE ASKED TO LEAVE. SHE CAME IN TO OUR STORE ON 9/27/05 WITH AN ANGRY AND ACCUSATORY ATTITUDE. WE'D HAVE BEEN VERY WILLING TO WORK WITH HER BECAUSE WE WANT TO KEEP OUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY. I'VE BEEN A JEWELER FOR 41 YEARS AND AT MY PRESNT LOCATION FOR 25 YEARS. WE REPLACE DIAMONDS FREE OF CHARGE, IF WE THINK IT IS OUR FAULT, TO KEEP OUR CUSTOMERS SATISFIED."
