Great! Sent someone over to measure everything out and get the glass cut as I wanted. Had suggestions for how to mount things and options to go over. Ordered glass and came back in a couple weeks to install. Finished install looks great!

Other than the lead time required to get the custom size door and fixed panel, we were very happy. They even came back without charge to adjust the mount for the door when it slipped slightly.

The quality of the work done was fine. My complaint about this job is two-fold. One, Dickeys charge a ''service call'' of $74 in addition to the labor costs. This strikes me as sheer profiteering, especially when the labor costs are already on the high side. Two., Tte tradesman, although evidently very good at his job, did not treat our home very respectfully. I had to ASK him to lay down dustsheets (in fact he only laid down dustsheets in one area, not the other). He was constantly in & out to his truck, across a muddy grass verge outside. Then coming in and NEVER wiping his boots on the mat either inside or outside the door. After he left, I had to sweep up after him, then clean and polish all the floors he had walked across. He also dinged some paintwork - which I feel could have been avoided - during the removal of the sashes. I got the impression he wanted to do the job 'quickly'? I'll probably use Dickey's again, but only when I can take the work to them.
