They were assigned to me by a home warranty company. They came, charged me $100 and told me there was nothing they could do. I wish I had a job that worked that way....

Two men came out flushed the toilets and said nothing was wrong, toilets continued to run, and could be heard as doing so. I am forced by my awful 2-10 Warranty company to use them. They are not licensed they have no evidence of a Master Plumber or Journey man in their company. I did a better assessment just looking online of how to check for problems with a running toilet than either of them did. I paid them $100 to flush the toilets and say nothing was wrong. I am now again forced by my warranty company to hire the. 2-10 hires only poorly qualified or not qualified companies as they are the only ones that will accept such low pay, thus this is why they have such incompetent staff. This time I WILL CALL THE DAY AFTER DAY TO DO THE WORK. They will be required by me to show up with a person who can show me a license and prove they are competent, since the company is not licensed, it will be interesting to see what happens. You may wish to note the following facts. Plumbers licensing requirements for a journeyman and master plumbers license are usually determined at the state level and the necessary requirements and exams vary in each State. The enforcing & regulating of the state plumbing licensing requirements often fall under individual municipalities. You can check the requirements for the journeyman and master plumber license in a particular State below. ________________________________________ Kentucky Plumbing License Requirements In the State of Kentucky a Plumbing License is required for any person that wants to perform work as a journeyman or master plumber in Wisconsin. The Journeyman and Master Plumbing Licenses are issued by the Kentucky Division of Plumbing of the State Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction after passing the required State Plumbing Exam. Kentucky KY Plumbing License Requirements and Plumber License Verification, Renewal and Application The Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings & Construction are the ones who you must apply with to become a licensed Plumbing Contractor or Journeyman Plumber in Kentucky. In the interest of public health and consumer protection and to assure compliance with the Kentucky State Plumbing Code, the Division of Plumbing is charged by Kentucky Revised Statute Chapter 318 to: Conduct examinations. License master and journeyman plumbers. Review and approve plans for construction on all buildings serving the public, whether they are publicly or privately owned. Issue plumbing construction permits. Inspect installations to assure compliance with the Kentucky State Plumbing Code..(excerpt from Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings & Construction official web site).

Company was dispatched by my home warranty company to install a new water heater. They were very thorough and professional and did a great job.

This was my first time using PlumbRight. They were responsive and did satisfactory work. However, they charged $996 for five hours of work, which I thought was way too high. They were not able to give me an estimate before hand because we did not know how many leaks we had. Part of the charge was for parts ($201.50) which I am sure was marked up with a large margin. I appealed to the owner for a reduction in the bill, but he refused. I have used other plumbers for such work and they charged much less. I will not use PlumbRight again and I will not recommend them to anyone.

PlumbRight is a weird one. This company was on my home warranty list - not much choice in that matter.) I had a bad encounter with them in 2014 when I needed some sewer work done. The fellow they sent over misquoted the work and also told me the company did NOT stand behind their work; a gamble for anyone who hired them. This company was through my home warranty. Needless to say, I didn’t hire them for the sewer project. Unfortunately, I did however (have to) work with them (again through the Home Warranty) on replacing my hot water heater, which had literally exploded. Literally, they did the bare minimum; replaced the hot water heater, but left debris, left garage, threw the manual in a puddle of water and said they couldn’t help with any water clean up. They also said that carrying the old hot water heater out of my basement would be an additional $75, and wasn’t covered by my warranty. This was just to carry up the steps; not to dispose of. It’s a gamble – they’re words; not mine.

I had to pay a $100 flat fee, because it was under home warranty. They had to order the part, so I had to wait a couple of days for them to get the part and come in. The customer service was average.

I do not think we got charged for anything because it was on a home-owner's plan. They do wonderful service. They clean up behind themselves. They are very neat and they are on time. They do a job well done. I never had a problem with them. They are reasonable. I use them all the time.

I wouldn't recommend them. I didn't like them at all. They had me running up and down the stairs for them, when there was two of them. They should have done their job. I could have seen helping them if there was just one of them, but there was two. I told them it sounded like a drip between the walls and they told me it was just the pipes expanding and it just sounded that way. I didn't think they were very professional.

The gentleman was very knowledgeable and explained the process to me. He answered all the questions I had and even went as far as to tell the what the next steps will be without me even having to ask.

They were recommended by a friend at work. They arrived on time and did the repair. They had to go to the store to get parts even after being told what the repair was we were charge for the time. Before they left they told my wife any problems they would return and fix the problem no additional charges. They faucet leaked around the base of the faucet (drip). The putty was not trimmed off, sloppy. The water pressure on the cold water was decreased and the cold water turn handle was not seated properly and wobbled. Called for them to return left a message early on a Monday. No response, my wife called on Tuesday and talked with a woman at the business. She said someone would get to it after a week of waiting I read up on the repair and properly re-seated the faucet and this solved the problem. We will not use them again!

I called my home warranty company after a "hammer" developed in my pipes when either toilet was flushed. Since it was happening with both toilets, did not suspect the toilets. Two gentlemen arrived that same afternoon. They quickly diagnosed the problem to be the valves in both toilets , probably because they were both 12 years old and had set unused for several months. They quickly replaced both valves and were on their way. They were very efficient and professional.

PlumbRight came out and tried to snake the pipe. After that didn't work, they went into the cellar and discovered several issues with the pipe, all related to whenever it was initially installed. The real issue was that because the pipe wasn't put in correctly, it had sagged and bent over time, preventing proper draining. The technicians explained everything well, showed us the problem, and fixed it promptly. I would definitely use them again!

poorly - they did not do the job they were paid to do
Response from PlumbRight Services & Rooter, Inc.
"Our technician was told there was a leak at the base of the toilet. While he was there, he found no evidence of a leak, after flushing the toilet several times. The home owner is stating they paid $60 to us. In reality they refused to pay their deductible they agreed to pay in their contract with their Home Warranty Company. In the home owners own words "2 days later, it is leaking". So it is obvious it stopped at some point and started again two days after our technician left the home. We are unable to fix a leak that is not present at the time our technician is."

My old water heater was leaking. It was 28 years old. They installed a new water heater. My home warranty covered the actual water heater device, but as per contract, I had to cover the cost of extra repairs and removal of the old device, as well as inspection fees. They did a great job for me as quickly as they could...delayed only for 1 day because of the warranty company. It works well, and I was happy with their service. They knew what they were doing, and knew how to bring things up to code (as the last replacement was 28 years ago.) I would definitely hire them again!
