Overall, If these problems aren't resolved to our satisfaction..we will get a satellite. We were with Time Warner Cable for 5 years..and we only called them out 1 time to replace a remote that had quit working. I don't complain about just anything...but I expect Quality cable when I'm paying over $100.00 a month for it. The hold times on the phone is atleast....at best 13 minutes! I promise you....call them and see for yourself how long it takes to get a live person...(888)863-9928. Do NOT get cable with New Wave Comm. They absolutely need to overhaul their phone system...and they need to invest in quality equipment. I have tried to get these problems resolved...but they don't seem to want to work with us. I think I deserve some credit on my bill since neither of our dvr's have worked correctly....not to mention the other issues. Beware of NEW WAVE COMM!!! Go with a satellite if New Wave is your local cable provider. Unfortunately, they are also our internet provider....and we were without internet service for 4 days...and the only thing they could tell me was that they were working on it in our area....Bull Crap...Completely unacceptable!!!!!!
Description of Work: We called the local cable company to have cable installed. Immediately we had trouble with one of our dvr's. It took them 5 days to get out to see us and when they did...the service guy said it was normal for error codes to pop up like they were doing. We had to rewind each dvr program we recorded because it wouldn't start from the beginning. The very next day...Our other DVR went out completely and they said it would be up and running shortly....yes...2 days later!! Then...the same dvr wouldn't allow us to watch ANY of our recorded programs at all.. We called New wave (Oh, and btw, the average hold time to talk with an actual employee is 13 minutes!!!) No exaggeration...The hold times are ridiculous! I have never talked with a live employee before 13 minutes. We order every UFC PPV and when we were with Time Warner we ordered it from our T.V....we're supposed to be able to do that with New Wave too...Well, we can't! We have to call in and order it...and since the hold times are so long...we always miss the first 15 minutes. We've only been with them a little over 1 month and we've had soooo many problems!! Oh, they also charged us twice for our PPV...and it took them a week to decide to take it off of our bill. I was furious!!!! Oh..but they want to be paid on time...and they don't want to credit anything..even if it's their fault for installing faulty equipment!

I have been a customer for 3 years now, their internet is crappy. It goes out about once a week for at least an hour. They have horrible customer service and you are on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes before you ever talk to a real person. My internet was just out for 3 days because "oops someone must have accidentally checked a box." This was only figured out after 2 no call, no shows on behalf of the service technician and over 2.5 on the phone (most of which I was on hold) trying to get the problem solved.
