Madisonville Contractors

Description of Work: We contacted Madisonville Contractors after taking the advice of our Insurance Adjuster "Motorist Insurance" Through Cole and Durham Insurance located also in Madisonville, Ky. We had water damage in our home, located in the homes 2 baths, and the main Utility room. The home also, was found to have structure damage, and needed to be dealt with in that area now as well. So, new flooring, jacking up the house up, painting, completely re-doing the baths, and the utility room overhaul entirely as well as the hallway now, as the structure has affected it as well. The Job required of Madisonville Contractors, give us an estimate to turn in to our insurance company as the adjuster was rushing us, saying, the claims would be closed we were going to have to hurry. So, upon his recommendation, we called them, not only to get the appraisal, but hire them to come to the work. It was so agreed for both. As both the insurance appraiser and the manangement from Madisonville Contractors both knew, I was to be at the Mayo Clinic on a certain date, it was agreed, the estimate would be done and complete before we arrive home. We recieved the estimate via email while at the Mayo Clinic, and spoke with the Madisonville Contracting Inc. therefore at that time, agreeing upon them doing all the work on our house. This was our expectation, our disappointment, and our mistake. THE DO- GET YOUR ESTIMATE from WHO YOU WANT IT FROM NOT YOUR INSURANCE ADJUSTER!!!! THE DONT-IF POSSIBLE NEVER HAVE IT SENT VIA EMAIL, GO TO THE OFFICE DO IT FACE TO FACE, MAKE IT A PERSONAL ISSUE, LOOKING PEOPLE IN THE EYE, MAKES THINGS QUITE DIFFERENT, AND THEN YOU GET YOUR YES, or NO UP FRONT, and saves a LOT of getting RUNAROUND !!!!!
