My telephone and internet service has been without any problems, so I have not needed any service.

I am totally tired of their non-service. You can't talk to a live person. The tech's don't fix the problem.

Whenever I call in about my internet connection, they tell me what to do from here, don't have to come out, and I am satisfied with them.  I give them high ratings and will continue to use them.  They are the only one that offers the land line here. 

We've been with them for twenty five or thirty years.  All in all we are satisfied with them.  We had some rough parts back several years ago where every time it rang, the phone went out but they got it fixed.  They were pretty punctual.  We won't complaint about them.  We will continue to use them.

Problems began from the first day. The DSL light on the modem would not stay on. Called the service number and the tech promptly came out and said that he "slowed it down" so that the DSL service would be more stable. After multiple calls and multiple techs the DSL light would stay on, but the service was very slow. Running several speed tests revealed that while I was paying for "blazing fast internet" I was actually getting 56K speeds. There was a lot of confusion with the customer support people, and at one point the customer service rep said that I had signed up for the slower speed which was totally incorrect. Why would anyone sign up for the slow speed when it's the same price? In conclusion, if you want high speed internet in Lexington, do NOT use Windstream, use QX.Net or Insight. If you want to pay a lot for slow and spotty internet then Windstream is an excellent choice.

Called to set up phone line for our business - they were supposed to install phone jacks between 1 and 5 but didn't arrive. The next morning we found a note that asked us to schedule a time we would be there. The same story the next week. We then decided to cancel this service. It was several months until the bill was finally resolved. I talked with a very helpful person when canceling service who warned me that I still may receive a bill because she may not be able to bring it to zero at the time. A few months later I called back after receiving a bill and this time the person on the other end wasn't so polite or helpful. Eventually it was resolved. I have had Windstream at my home and haven't had major problems.
