WM is a shady company with terrible customer serv. Horrible ph wait times if you call. I used them at previous address. I pd $75 for lg trash can. When I moved I told them it would be 2months before closing on my new home. They advised me to leave trash can at end of drive and they would pick up. Fast forward at new address I start serv and am billed another $75 I accidentally pd via autodraft. One yr later I still haven't gotten the money back. I've had 3 $25 serv restart fees because autodraft didn't come out. Not because money wasn't there or anything on my part. The ebills rarely arrive either. I finally canceled serv and am sure I will never see the $75. I've called 4 times only to be told I should have never been told to return the trash can to begin with and they will review the account and get back to me. No one ever does. Also I've talked with friends and neighbors and everyone pays a different price.
Response from WASTE MANAGEMENT
"Hello [Member Name Removed], we're sorry for the issues you had with the $75 charge. After looking over the address provided, we do not reflect a $75 payment that was automatically drafted out. Again, we apologize for the frustration you experienced with us. Thank you ^yn"

NEVER, EVER USE WASTE MANAGEMENT! I switched to WM from Rumpke and paid for a year in advance to get a reduced rate. I moved after 8 1/2 months and was told IN WRITING that I would get a refund of the remaining balance paid. I cancelled my service on 11/11/16. It is now 1/27/17 and I am still fighting with them to get my refund! At this point, I have given up all hope of ever receiving it! Customer Service is horrible!! STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!
Response from WASTE MANAGEMENT
"Hello [Member Name Removed], we are sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with your refund. We see that we spoke with you on 01/27/16 to discuss your refund and show the refund has been sent to the updated billing address. We will follow up with you to ensure you've received the refund. Again, please accept our apologies for any frustration this has caused. Thank you ^dn"

I signed with Waste Management because of their price. However, to get the and quot;good priceand quot; you have to sign a contract. The contract is fine, however they have a separate company that handles their contracts. When it was time to renew my contract, they kept saying they sent one to me, one in paper format that and quot;should be on my front porchand quot; and I never received that either. It was such a struggle that I decided to just forget the contract and pay the several dollars more for their service outside of a contract.
I have no problem going paperless with most of my household bills. WM for some reason can't send me a bill on time via email. The only email I get from them is when it's PAST DUE. I have lucked out in the past and paid it on time because I have it on my calendar (that is a lot of work in an age where technology is supposed to help you, not make you nervous.) I have to call every time when I get the past due invoice to see what in the world happened (why it didn't auto withdraw on my credit card when I know to check that off each time). This last time there was a $25 service startup fee sneakishly tacked on to my account after I called customer service to settle the account and get it in good standing again, which the customer service rep this time refused to remove. and quot;Sorry, you should have paid it on time.and quot; I get that part, but if I don't get a bill I'm not going to remember. I'm not one of those people who can't find my way out of a paper bag when it comes to online payment systems. WM's payment system looks very straight-forward, but even if I click the auto-payment feature, it NEVER goes through. Then they get their $25. Sorry, that's pretty shady. I cancelled my account. I thought about going with a paper bill so that I will for sure get the bill, but after the snotty customer service, I'll just gladly pay via a paper bill through another hard-working local trash removal company.
If you go with WM, make sure you go paperless or else you will get nickel and dimed. I just refuse to give my money to shady companies.

The association has used their service for many years but was going up on the price every single month until it was unreasonable. The garbage was picked up at approximately the same time every week so I will say they were punctual. Trying to get out of the contract I felt was unethical and deceitful. They are nationwide so you don't talk to anyone local-just a call center and that could be anywhere in the U.S. Price was the big issue and it was worth paying a liquidation fee of three months service to get out of the contract. Not a pleasant experience and would not recommend.

They are professional, they are always here, and they take everything I put out. I called them because they raised the price too much on me, and they worked with me on the price.

I had 5 different choices and I used them because I had to make my own choice. They have one office in Cincinnati, so if I have any dealings I call them. I pay them $85 once a quarter. They sent me surveys asking about their service and I had commented about that. They seemed to have improved some things based on the comments at least that I made. They seemed to be responsive to their customers. One thing I like is that they are punctual. They are here pretty much at the same time, give and take 30 minutes. They send us notices if the garbage time has changed because of the holidays and things like that. The driver seemed to be very courteous. They dump the garbage and if anything spills up, they pick it up and throw them in the truck. They always leave my cans sitting sideways on the driveways with the lid closed, so it doesn't fill with the water. I see the can is shifted and I know they are there. I haven't compared them with others.

They are very efficient and very good on the amount of garbage you can put out but they are expensive. They are very good. I have been pleased with the service.

Waste Management comes every week. They give senior citizen discounts. They are very good.

They come on Tuesday for regular trash, and Fridays for yard waste. We have been satisfied with their services as well as the prices they charge. They call if their schedule changes, which is nice.
