Our daughter's first move and she is not familiar with moving procedures so unfortunately she signed off that the work was completed. The bottom of the bed would not fit through her bedroom doorway. The movers left it standing against the wall of the living room. It would have been helpful if they called the person paying for the move to find out if I would have liked to have it brought back. They also left the top mattress and chest of drawers in the middle of her room, not where she had directed them to put it.. After they left she moved both the heavy mattress and chest of drawers. These mattresses are heavy and she strained her back. I am embarrassed to say my husband tipped these two drivers a generous $20.00 a piece before leaving our house, knowing our daughter would not have the cash and having faith they would complete the job. They did not have any trouble accepting the tip, but finishing the job now that was a problem. I have complained twice, once to the office and also when they had a third party follow up on the move. No one seems concerned.

The move was awful. The were completely un prepared. I have several large paintings which they completely tore up the frames. The worst was my new Bose radio which was not even unpacked simply packed in a larger box With other things. After they were finishedI had signed off on the move. The next day when I was opening boxes I found my Bose radio missing!

The two young men did a fine job of moving my cabinets and they took care in the move. My biggest complaint is with the franchise office. They sent two movers out without any tools. When they discovered they needed a screwdriver, a hammer and a drill, they asked me and the homeowner if we had any tools. Luckily, I had a tool bag in my car and they used my tools. At no time did they offer to call the office and ask for someone to deliver tools. When I asked why they didn't have tools, they said they forgot to put them on the truck.
Afterwards, I complained to the office and I didn't think I should have to pay all of the $100.00 and quot;service feeand quot; that I was charged. I thought $50.00 was reasonable because I had provided the tools. They made excuses for not having the tools and said they would have brought them out; however, the two gentlemen never offered that option. They offered me $25.00 and I said I would take my complaint to company headquarters. I made a complaint to the head office and in one month, no one ever got back to me. I called the home office on Jan. 21st and was told my complaint was sent back to the local office--they didn't even have the initiative to intervene on my behalf or to contact me about their feeble attempt to mediate the situation. The excuse was that the State of Kentucky requires them to charge the and quot;service feeand quot;--while that may be true, that has nothing to do with compensating a dissatisfied customer.
A moving company who contracts a job without the necessary equipment and does nothing to retain a disappointed customer has no interest in repeat business or building their business by word of mouth.
I have no complaints about the two gentlemen who performed the services, with the exception that they never offered to call the office to get the tools. It is the responsibility of the company to see that their workers report to a job fully prepared; and it is the job of the franchise to maintain high standards of customer service. Here is a company that let a $25.00 difference result in the loss of a loyal customer.
I would not use them again for these reasons.

My wife and I moved from a rental house in St Matthews to a house we purchased in Old Louisville. We booked Two Men for help transporting the large furniture, bulky items and several boxes we pre packed. In total, they moved about 75% of our house hold.
I initially reached out to Two Men because of the brand name and favorable reviews on Angies List. I spoke to Christine on the phone and she did my initial bid about 3 weeks prior to my move date. She was very helpful and quoted the job at around 5 hours. (work is billed around $100 an hour). They took a $100 deposit to confirm the booking.
The front office called two days ahead of the move date to re confirm, and the crew called the morning of the move to ensure I was there to let them in.. very impressed with all of the follow up. The crew arrived on time and got right to work. They wrapped all of furniture and took great care of all my household items. Total packing took about 2 hours and went off without any problems. They then drove the items to our new house and unloaded them without any issue. They managed to get some very heavy items up two flights of stairs and worked well in confined spaced... all of my items were not damaged. When it was all said and done they were on site for about 5.5 hours and credited me 30 minutes back as they took two 15 minute breaks. No surprise charges and I paid exactly what I was expecting.
I would have no hesitation hiring them again.. They did not box any of our household goods as we had already done that... but they heavy lifting, transportation and placement of all of our items was flawless. Very impressed.

Service providers were courteous and professional. They were very conscientious of the time frame I had booked and even made sure that I was happy with how quickly they were doing the job, since it is calculated by the length of time to do it. They were very polite and made sure I understood exactly how it worked and were very careful with my furniture. Excellent experience.

Took three young guys two days to move the entire household. They worked hard and were freindly. Only negative was we were chareged for lots of empty boxes that we didn't need. Cost is an estimate since it was over a year and half ago. We would use them again. We didn't have to do a thing except tell them where to put stuff at the new house.

I chose this location based on Angie's list reviews even though there was a closer location to my home. Christine was very pleasant on the phone. The fee was to be 96.00 per hour for two men. I expected the Crew at 8am and they arrived at 9:30. They later said they had given me a window of 8-10, but that wasn't my recollection. The lead man, Steve, had lots of paper work for me to sign. There was a form that said I could pay by cash, check or credit card, but he informed me that they no longer accepted personal checks so he crossed that out. He said it would have to be a certified check. That would mean I would have to leave the crew at my home while I left to go to a bank to get a money order or cashiers check. I also had a choice of hand writing my credit card information on a form. Neither option seemed acceptable to me. They ended up taking a credit card over the phone. I was sent a checklist to fill out and return. I did so. Clay called over the week-end and we enlarged the scope of the work to be done the following Monday and he told me it would take more like 5.25 hours and I agreed. I told him I didn't care how long it took as long as they were working and he said they didn't have a job after mine so I was prepared to accept that it may take longer than 5.25 hours. I was told that there would be a trainee as well so I would have three men for the price of two which was enticing. On Monday only two men arrived and their paperwork said they were scheduled for 2-4 hours and they had a job after mine to go to. They assured me they would get it all done. A third man arrived at the very end so he was available for the unloading.
Everything was unloaded into the storage unit and Steve the lead man was writing up paper work. It was then and only then that I was informed that I was being charged the 96.00 per hour hard labor fee for their driving time as well. Both driving to my home and returning from my home. He had down that he left the office at 8:45 but they didn't get to my house until 9:30 so being charged for 45 minutes of travel for what should have been more like 20 minutes didn't feel right either.  $96.00 an hour to DRIVE?? I could understand a trip fee of some kind to cover fuel and such if I were informed ahead of time, but to charge that rate to drive both to and from the job without prior notification is unacceptable and really bad practice. I got nothing in writing informing me of that fact either.
I called Christine to make the credit card payment and discuss the surprise fees and the job itself. I got a voice mail so we didn't speak until the next day. I asked her to whom I should speak about concerns I had and she said the right person would call me within an hour. A woman did call (however I do not remember her name). She seemed convinced that her customer service people always tell folks on the phone that the 96.00 an hour starts from the time they leave the office until the time they return to the office. I was not told that or I would not have hired this company, and it wasn't put in writing either.  This woman said I had been e-mailed a document that might have explained all of this (I don't know what the document might have included as I was only sent a checklist, nothing else). I also looked at all of the paperwork I did with Steve and there was no mention there of driving fees either.  She didn't seem too concerned about whether I was a satisfied customer or not, no apologies about the arrival time, two men instead of three, being charged surprise fees, etc., and certainly no offer to deduct the drive time amount since I wasn't informed in advance.
The guys worked hard and Christine was as helpful as she could be, but due to this Company's policies and lack of true customer service from the top I will not use them again.

Two Men and a Truck made moving a painless--and enjoyable--experience. I had called for a quote two days prior to my ideal move in date, and they were incredibly accommodating. We worked out the estimate, deposit, and scheduled the date all within a two day timeframe. The truck was scheduled to arrive at my house at 1pm, but their morning move-in ran late...I called the company at 2pm when I had not heard back and they filled me in. The (2) movers called me when they were on their way and gave me a very accurate ETA.
From there, it only took an hour to pack up the truck. They were incredibly friendly and efficient. They even wrapped a few items (TV, valuables, etc.) that I took in my own personal car, to prevent damage to my belongings. We then drove (in rush hour traffic) to my apartment, and they took the quickest route they could. The movers followed me into my apartment to evaluate the entrance and then promptly started bringing my possessions inside in a very careful and strategic manor. They managed to fit a huge leather sectional through a narrow hall and door frame with no damage whatsoever. They didn't complain once when I made them move the couch twice to make sure that's where I wanted it.
The whole process took about 4 hours - and my estimate had said it would take 3-4 hours to move, so it was right on. The price was reasonable, and nothing I owned was broken or damaged, and my wood floors unscratched.
I would highly recommend Two Men and a Truck's services to anyone who is moving.

We decided @ the last minute to have a mover take care of the heavy things. Two Men and a Truck were able to do the move with less than 24 hrs notice. They were courteous and thorough. We would definitely hire them again.

The workers arrived on time. However, it took way too long for them to get everything packed up. They took too much time wrapping everything in plastic to load into the truck. I appreciate that they wanted to take good care of my belongings, but we did not leave my house until 1:30 and they started at 8:30. That left us to do a very quick unload and lots of details were missed in unpacking. The men were good about what they charged me. They spent 7 hours on my move and charged me for 5 to match the maxiumum estimated price. I don't think it required the maximum estimate though. The move was moderate enough to have been handled in 3.5 to 4 hours. I did have a treadmill in the basement that was tough to move and they worked hard to make sure it got taken care of. These guys were very nice, but I would not use them again.

There was a major error committed as a result of faulty employees in their scheduling department. I was later to learn that the worker who took my reservation and information was terminated, and had failed to submit several jobs (such as mine). As a result, had I not called to confirm my reservation the day before the move, no movers or trucks would have shown up on my scheduled day. This had tremendous consequences as I am a pastor, and the parsonage I was moving from had another pastor moving in after two days. It was essential that I be out of the house on that day.
Once the problem was identified, the office and management worked hard to make sure my move happened. An additional truck was found and did come on the scheduled day, just later than what would have normally been the case. However, the truck was too small for our move. I had to rent a truck from U-haul for all that could not fit in their truck. Again, this was due to the terminated employee who scheduled my move and did not accurately assess the amount of items we had.
The workers we courteous and worked hard, and we did move successfully. Unfortunately it was a long 14 hour move instead of the normal 6 to 7 hour job that it should have been.
It is hard to determine the overall performance because of the original mistakes made by one employee, but the company did do its best to make things right.

I liked it because they were close, local, quick, and professional. They even accommodated me because I thought I had an appointment with them. I didn't confirm the appointment with me. They made arrangements for me to get a truck and enough guys to move me without the appointment.

The only problem I had was they would spend fifteen minutes wrapping up a two meter lamp even after I asked them not to worry about that and told them not to wrap it because it's a two meter lamp, but they spent fifteen minutes wrapping it up, so I was paying them more than the lamp is worth new, so I got frustrated about that, but other than that, they did a really thorough job. I would say if someone has a lot of antiques, they are really nice at moving them. They pulled the washing machine, and it got thrown off its track, but other than that, they were good. I would not use them again in the future.
