Troy Hearin Painting

We'd used Troy several years ago to paint our kitchen and install crown molding. It took longer than expected but were pleased with the results and hired him to do another job. We wanted our den and built-in bookshelves painted and crown molding installed (quote was $2,200). What should've taken less than a week has now turned into 2 weeks and there is still no paint on the walls. He asked for cash up front, but we gave him a check instead. After almost a week with little progress, he gave excuses and asked for more money, which we gave him. We never knew when or if he was coming each day. Since Troy had done good work for us on a previous job, we gave him more chances than we probably should have. After another week of excuses, unresponsiveness and no progress, we terminated our agreement and hired someone else. Very disappointing!

Troy is skilled and willing to think through projects with your goals in mind. He does quality work. I whole-heartedly recommend him.

It was a pleasure to have Troy in my home. Most of the painting companies today do their work on a and quot;how fast can I get this job done and get on with the nextand quot; basis.. Not Troy, as he very carefully, made sure every detail was addressed. No brush marks, no roller patterns....the walls are like velvet. Beautiful work! He cleaned up daily, was punctual, and showed respect for my home and my scheduling. A good color sense is also one of his skills and his suggestions are usually right on. All and all, I not only found him to be an excellent painter but Troy is also a very interesting, diverse person, who is trustworthy. I have had my share of bad painters who were rated well on Angie's but now that Troy has done this work, I shall not look back and use anyone else. If you take pride in your home, use someone who takes pride in his craft.....Troy!

Working with Troy was very easy. He was flexable to my schedule. His estimate appt. included the matching and approval of my paint color and the pricing. He was very willing to answer all my questions in what seemed a truthful and educational way. We scheduled a dated to start, the job took 3 days. The job included the treatment of the walls first. The filling of hole, skimming of uneven areas, sanding and the removal of all hardware. He took no shortcuts. The next two days were of painting. His choice of color and finish allowed for one coat coverage and it was beautiful. He was neat, and kind. I would reccoment him to any one needing painting interior or exterior in the Louisville area.
