He and his team did the work, but it was sloppy and incomplete. Windows and doors were painted shut. Paint was on windows and floor, and they did no scraping or clean up. They did one light coat in spots where you could see through, they missed entire spaces in others.
I made a punch list for them to complete the job. They were on site finishing what was on the list and told me they'd be done in one hour. and quot;Don't worry,and quot; Tim said, and quot;I'll make it right!and quot; They asked to be paid, so I paid them. My mistake.
They were not done in one hour. They were there 3-4 hours, and they still missed half the items on the list and left the place a mess. After promising to come back again, but not showing up a few times, the team finally returned a third time. We walked them through the list again and gave them a written list to follow -- but they STILL missed half the list. They just could not finish the job they said they would do. We weren't adding on new things -- these were basic things they said they would fix and didn't. It was absolutely bizarre.
For example, they got wall paint on the ceiling and said they'd repaint with white ceiling paint over it. They didn't . They said they'd scrape the paint off the windows and floors. They didn't. They said they'd paint the corners of the bathroom they completely missed the first time. They didn't. They missed cutting edges on the basement ceiling and walls. Twice. I could go on and on.
When my husband called again and asked them to complete the job, Tim said he'd tried and tried to make us happy and couldn't, so at this point, he was walking away. Right, walking away -- FULLY PAID. We got to walk away to hours of work ourselves -- scraping, cleaning and painting what we paid Tim Pollard to do. Thanks, Tim.
I am sorry I hired this painter. BEWARE. He bid the lowest. And you get what you pay for.

They did a fantastic job! Having the interior of your house painted while you are mostly at home could have been a headache; however, their thoughtfulness and professionalism made it far easier on us. They were careful to keep the majority of the house in tact while they were painting specific areas; they cleaned up thoroughly after themselves on a daily basis, they arrived and departed punctually, and they there were exceedingly easy to have around the house. Tom and other close family members are the kind of people that you can trust to have around your home even if you are not there all of the time; they are honest, polite, hard working, and highly experienced. Tom has a super color sense and offers good advice and paint selection and the quality of various paints.
Most important, the quality of the work was great: we've had many different houses painted and their work was first-rate (all walls painted twice), and they would be very responsive if you wanted any touch up (although this was not necessarily in our experience).
We felt fortunate to have our interior painting done by the Pollards, and we would be eager to work with them again.
