I had been putting off some minor electrical repairs in my home and the repair of the fluorescent light needed to be done within the week. On Monday evening I went to Angie's List to see my options. Based on the reviews I contacted this provider through Angie's List and had a response within an hour advising me to give him a call Tuesday morning. I spoke to Norb Thorpe Tuesday morning and explained my situation. We made an appointment for 8:30 Wednesday morning. He arrived on time and I showed him what I needed done. He was finished within 90 minutes - it would have been quicker but he had a little more work with the outside outlet once he got into it. Mr.Thorpe was very professional and friendly and did a great job. I really appreciated his timeliness in getting back to me, his punctuality in meeting me and his professionalism, efficiency and excellent service. The next time I need electrical service I will definitely not put it off and will call Mr. Thorpe!

We have used Norb Thorpe three times now for various electrical issues in our home that we bought in October.  I don't "do" electricals so I will call a professional, and Norb has been great to work with.  He is punctual, knows his stuff, and is easy to work with.  Charges are very reasonable - he keeps your budget in mind and in one case advised that what i had asked about doing was going to be way more expensive than what i had figured.  He is very agreeable and does the job right.

this is our second time to use Mr. Thorpe and we're very pleased.   he is punctual, professional, and cost is very reasonable.  he discussed with me what i wanted done and then set about doing it.  he has a great attention to detail and wants to make sure that "it's done right."  anytime i have electrical needs in the future i will definitely give him a call!

Thorpe will be installing two ceiling fans for me. I have used this company several times before and will use no one else! Always prompt, professional, friendly, reliable, and reasonable. If there is a problem Mr. Thorpe returns to fix it as quickly as possible with no questions asked. I have referred him to friends and family. They too now refuse to use anyone else.

I went to change a light out in a home built in 1939. I pulled the light down and noticed some things that were beyond my skill level. I called five electricians. Thorpe was the first to call back. He was on time, explained what he was doing and how the wiring was wired. Very nice and professional. Will definitely use them again.

I purchased this home in Sept 2012 and our back outdoor lights have not worked since we have been here.  I wanted someone to look at the lights and setup to see if they needed to be replaced or if I had an underground problem.  He found one of the wires had gotten wet and burned out and it was fixed in no time.  I had outdoor lights on our patio that evening.

I had a list of repairs needed to sell my house. He was able to come on the day and time I needed. He worked from 8:30am until early afternoon. He was able to fix everything and I felt his price was reasonable for how long he was there and what he accomplished. I plan to use him again for the repairs on the condo I am buying.

He is a one man operation and he was great.  He did a real good job.

When an inspector came to inspect the new addition he inspected the electric work and said that it was the most professional job he had ever seen. The way the circuit work was done was very good. He is really very thorough. That is the reason why my children also use him. I am very confident in his work. It is safe and he does what is needed. He is a great problem solver. If you tell him that you want him to do something that is very difficult, he will just do the work easily. He knows all the codes very well that are needed for the inspection.

Thorpe Electric was efficient from day one being as thorough as possible with making the estimate and understanding the extent of the project. The pricing was fair for the work, and the work was exceptional. Norbourne Thorpe did it all himself, and like a professional was on time, easy to work with, and very detailed. Definitely someone I would recommend.
