Terminix® - Louisville -Termite & Pest Control

I purchase brown recluse spider service from Terminix in Louisville, KY. I gave them one complete year for their service to take effect. After one full year of service with multiple additional service calls I have finally decided to try a competitor. The Terminix service technician said that additional spraying would likely not help the problem so it really made no sense to continue on. The spider issue not only did not get better but actually got worse both in my garage where it started and more spiders in my home. Here is some photographic evidence: [*** Link removed ***] Terminix has said they are sorry the spider problem did not get better, but kept 90% of the $1,315 that was spent on the service for the year.

AWESOME, I would highly recommend this company from the sales manger (Alex Streets) to the technician! They were very professional, personable, and understood the situation that was a serious matter. Mr. Streets came on a Thursday to explained the services they will provide, what will be done, the price , and the start date. The next day the job was done and completed and we were happy by the end of the day! On Saturday morning, another gentleman came to check on the situation and put out more bait he was equally professional and personable. Overall we are beyond happy!!!

The Customer Service of this organization was the worst I have ever experienced. Several calls made to the call center with the promise of the local rep to return the calls that didn't happen. After the online chat with the call center the service manager finally called back and after I expressed what I needed he proceeded to tell me that he had been doing his job for 39 years and didn't need me to tell him how to do it. He then said he was going to cancel my service and asked me if I needed the phone number to another service provider. He was very rude and obnoxious. I will be looking for another service provider and hope that this helps anyone else looking to do business with the Louisville area Terminix.

A salesman came around and convinced my wife, and we were stuck with them for a year. Happy to get rid of them. I do a much better job now of spraying than they did. They were a regular exterminator. They want to get you on a one-year contract, then they extend it every year. I don't think they're worse than other companies in the business. I don't want to make it sound like that, but I'm generally opposed to these contracts, because the work isn't done as thoroughly as I can do it. The worst thing was that as winter was coming, say like November, they come out to do their quarterly work and because it was coming on winter and there's no real problem with anything, it was a very short visit, and it really made me feel cheated. I thought it wasn't thorough enough for that. I think it'd be good to give them a lower grade and kind of a kick in the butt because if they're going to sell something like that for a high price like $90 a visit, four times is $360, I think they should earn the money. I actually worked closely with the guy that did finally come the second time and we had a conversation about what I expected, and he did a better job. I had to kind of stay with him to encourage that, too. I don't think they're worse than anybody else, but I don't recommend this kind of service to any homeowner who's willing to spend a little effort of his own with Ortho bug killing spray. It's effective, you buy it at a hardware store. It's called Ortho Home Defense Insect Killer. Every time we think we've got a little too many insects, I spray everything again. I spray the interior of our rooms in the house; I spray the garage; I spray the exterior, and it's proven very effective. I think training their exterminators to spray in the most effective parts of the buildings that they treat; I think retraining would be a really good idea. The second operator we got, the second exterminator, technician if you will, explained a lot about the effectiveness and how to go about spraying and what he does, and he did a very thorough job. Two out of three times he visited he did a very thorough job. He also educated me so that I could do a better job. I took everything out of the garage before he came so that he could spray the full inner perimeter of the garage. I made great effort to try to get the best job done that I could.

We had a bunch of stuff done. They could have been more thorough.

It went fine. I don?t see any termites. They have a pest service as well and they came out pretty promptly when we had millworms on our kitchen ceiling and we haven?t seen them since they came out. The guy helped me dismantle the cabinet for the treatments, he was very nice and very helpful.
