Silver Hammer Remodeling

I can’t say enough about how pleased we are with the kitchen remodel. David Fischer did a fantastic job. He is very meticulous, and it shows. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. This project was completed in August of 2018, and I just figured out how to post this review... (sorry guys). If we do any future projects, we will absolutely use Silver Hammer Construction. Both Andrea and David are very professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Our project turned out great! David was very helpful and creative along the way. He takes his time to do things properly and is extremely tidy.

It went well. Our plan is to use Silver Hammer again for a bathroom remodel. Throughout every step of the process David Fischer was our even keeled perfectionist. Andrea kept us fully up to date during each step. Their sub contractors all proved to be professional and were ON TIME each time they were needed.

We hired Silver Hammer in 2017 to completely remodel our kitchen. New cabinets, countertops, appliances, shelving, etc. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out! We had our quote right away and once everything was agreed upon Dave started immediately. Both Dave and Andrea respond quickly to calls and/texts and could not have been better to work with. I recommend them to everyone I know!

Dave did a fantastic job.  He was very professional and his carpentry work was excellent.  He was also very clean and did all of his cutting outside.
I will definitely hire him in the future. in fact, I have already discussed custom closets with him.

David is a true craftsman and is incredibly good at what he has chosen to do - your only problem will be in getting him booked as his work is so popular and top-notch.  Our project was for him to totally redo the kitchen, and he was involved from planning to final finish.  It is really impressive and we really enjoy having the new kitchen.   David came up with terrific ideas that we used, and along the way was able to save us significant dollars on materials (e.g. countertop) by shopping around for just the right item.  The attention to detail and doing the work right shows in every facet of our kitchen.  The cabinet shop he works with is a great source and David has an excellent reputation with other suppliers that will make the job turn out better.   This is the second complete kitchen we have done over the years in two houses, and the work that David did is of superior quality.  Be prepared to wait on scheduling, but it is well worth the wait.

Amazing! We met David through our kitchen designer and we were amazed with his pleasantness, attention to detail and his perfect installation. We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and if we have further projects, will call him.

David was fantastic!  We hired him to build an additional shelf for our corner entertainment center to update it to fit our flat screen tv.  He was on time, very professional, hardworking and clean.  He was also very patient working with me to make sure it was at the exact height that I requested.  The shelf turned out great!  We plan to hire Silver Hammer in the near future to build a wall unit in our basement and highly recommend them.

I had done most of the kitchen remodel myself, but the cuiling was uneven, and the crown molding felt like too much to tackle.  David came over and assessed the situatin.  He even gave me a few suggestions, in case I decided to do it myself.  His estimate was reasonable, using the molding I had purchased myself.  One of his carpenters came over in a few days and did the job.  He was careful, friendly, and did a nice job.  I did the caulking and painting myself.  
All around, it was a great experience.

From the beginning Mr.Fischer understood what I wanted done, and completed the work in a timely fashion. His work is just beautiful. Great experience!!

Jacob, the carpenter who performed the work, did a great job and was very skilled and knowledgeable. He was very professional and even gave me some tips and tricks for future DIY projects.

On the initial visit David Fischer listened as I described the project I wanted.  He then walked me through the pros and cons of my original idea and offered several options that might work better.  He brought in samples and explained the qualities of each.  He was courteous, patient and informative.  I agreed to visit the showroom for the stock cabinets where I figured and compared until I had decided on which "extras" I really wanted and where I could compromise.  When that was done he came back to my home with a contract which we again reviewed in detail and made a couple of changes.  I made a down payment at that time.
On the installation day he arrived with two assistants, Jacob and Kevin.  After getting the installation launched David left the work in the capable hands of his assistants.  They worked steadily through the day, paying attention to every detail.  They were pleasant and knowledgeable young men, easy to have in my home.  They were careful around my other furniture in the room,  including a glass-front antique china cabinet, and they carefully cleaned up their mess when they were finished.
 I am very pleased with the final product.  I ended up spending a little more than I expected but I am confident I got very good value.  The stock cabinets carry a 25-year warranty and are very well made.  I was glad to work with local, family-owned businesses at every level-- cabinet manufacture, showroom and design, and installation.  I am already pondering future projects for David and his crew.

David Fischer, owner, is the person who came to remove the bookcase.  Turns out the unit was very well constructed and they had used a lot of glue.  What we thought would be a one hour job turned into about 3 hours.  Not once did David complain, and he continued to be very careful in removing each piece so he wouldn't tear up the drywall.  
I highly recommend this company to whomever has a demo or remodel project.  I am keeping his business card in a safe place for any future projects.  
David's background is in the furniture industry so he takes great pride of ownership in building things, ie., like entertainment units, desks, or any other kind of built-in's.  

Can't say enough good things about this company. Have to apologize for not getting the review done sooner.  This company provides excellent quality work.  They listened to us about our vision and brought it to life. We were given a quote a the beginning of the job that only changed with additional requests we made. They kept us up to date with any changes on scheduling, parts, etc. During the construction, they ensured that the work area was kept clean.  They were aware that we have young children in the house and ensured that tools and equipment we put away each night. They were friendly and extremely professional. These guys are ARTISTS!  The finished product is amazing.  We constantly get compliments on the work they did.  I'm saving my pennies now to have them start the next project I have in mind.

The experience was great besides dealing with some snow days and unexpectedly cold weather. David would arrive to perform the work and take care to cover my wood flooring in preparation for the work. I was home all day and could hear as he and his other worker discussed plans for the work and addressing all the details. He would take care to clean up at the end of each day as well. I was very pleased with the work.

Professional in every aspect of our dealing with the contractor.  He provided suggestions on design as well as performed the work that would be the envy of any pro in the business.  Cleaned up each night before leaving (refreshing).  We would recommend him to anyone wanting quality kitchen/bath remodeling.
