My 91 year-old mother took her car to Shields because she thought it was out of alignment and her right window wouldn't roll down. They checked the alignment and it was fine, but they thought rotating the tires might help with her problems. She had inadvertantly hit the "lock button" on her armrest and that was easily dealt with. She was so pleased that they were so helpful and honest when she took her car in. I would have been easy enough to do work that was not needed. The car drives fine now and the window works. They were very kind in dealing with her and she would go back again.

  Very fast, professional and HONEST. Didn't shop price for repair so don't know if it was average.   I had a low coolant message came coming on and husband had to keep adding antifreeze once a week.  I called and was able to get vehicle in within a few days.  Dropped it off at 11am and by 2pm was called with diagnosis and cost.  I was told it might be next day before complete if they had to get 2 heater hoses.  I said it is not a daily driver so that is fine.  To my surprise they called me at 530pm and said it is ready to go!  They were open til 7pm so I was shocked it was done that fast.  They replaced two heater hoses that go to heater core.  I asked if I should replace other hoses as preventative measures and they said know, the other hoses looked good and no need to replace now. Its been 10 days since repair and NO "check coolant level" message so hope this fixed problem!! 
    
    My vehicle is an older Cadillac and well maintained.  I have had it into Shields several times over last few years and all positive results.  They may not be the cheapest but are HONEST and very professional!  Keep up the great service!  Thanks again!  

NOTE:  I had car to another chain repair shop (Ken Towerys)  weekend before and was told I needed cross over pipe to heater core which is major 6 hour job and also resorvoir tank next to radiator. They never gave me anything in writing and said master mechanic was out til Monday and would call with estimate.  We took car home and that Monday they called with estimate of 1500.00!!!  Always get a second opinion if major repair. Try Shields, you will be pleased.

We are very happy with them. I have been using them for about 2 or 3 years. They have a good price and good service. They have repaired the issue the first time successfully. Their  timeliness is very good. We took a vehicle to them and told them what we thought was wrong, which the repair would have been quite expensive. They said even though the part was making a little bit of noise, it was the power steering unit, that it was fine. They could have easily charged us several hundred dollars to do that and they said the little bit of noise it was putting out was not really a concern so I really appreciated that.

It was great. It took about an hour and a half. I came back to get my car. The staff is wonderful.

We've been with them for probably 10 years. They're the only place we go to.

I made an appointment for car repairs  which I was told by the toyato dealership was needed to service my car.Shields  service went over what I was told that needed to be done. I left my car there and they called about an hour later saying that some of the things did not need to be done at this time. I agreed to what needed to be done and they did the work. I was very pleased that everything was completed the same day and I could pick my car up that afternoon.The whole experience went well and I will be using them again.

I was very impressed with Shields Service.  They provided a professional, courteous atmosphere.  As their site claims, the shop was spotless when I arrived in the morning, and they were punctual in performing work.  I felt the prices were completely reasonable.
The owner was straightforward and not pressuring in his recommendations for maintenance work. 
I would definitely recommend their services to anyone; I should also mention that there were several "regulars" there (based on my observations) who appeared just as confident and pleased with this business as I was.

John, Michael, Mason, and the rest of the tech's at Shield's are top notch!  We have been using John's (owner) service for some years now, and he and his employees are always, courteous, professional, and empathetic to the customer's needs.  They do not "push" additional work to be done, unless, in their opinion it's needed.  I always felt I was the one to make the final decision without being pressured by John and his group.  Quite the opposite.  If John and his tech's found and thought I should have additional work done, up and beyond what I brought the vehicle in for, I felt completely comfortable and secure in having the work done.
John keep up the good work!  We'll be moving to Texas in a month.  We'll miss your expertise and busy savvy.

They replaced the 2 front rotors, cleaned all the brake shoes, bled and replaced the brake fluid along with recharging the AC system. All within the quote, and in 1 day. Very good customer service. The shop is very clean. Will be using them again in the future if we need any service done on our cars.

They said that when we come back for oil change, they will do free rotation. They are very honest, easy to deal with, friendly, and knowledgeable.

They repaired the left wheel bearing on my car less that a year ago. The cost was fair, service was great, they even drove me home and picked me up when the car was done, that is a plus. When the same bearing went bad within a year, they replaced it at no cost for part and labor.

I take all my cars to Shields.  My alternator failed and had my car towed to Shields late on a Friday.  I was told it would probably be the next Monday before they could get to it which I was fine with.  John called me on Saturday morning to let me know he might get to it on Saturday if possible.  Sure enough he called later to let me know I could pick it up Saturday and repairs were completed under the warranty.  Awesome service!
