After several attempts for service while someone was home, they finally SAID they had provided the service when no one was there, and that they would send us a report. Again, several emails and attempts, NO report was ever sent. We only have their word that the service was done....... No visible proof. This was a waste of money in our opinion.

We have had some trouble getting a hold of him because he still hasn't finished the job we paid him for. We have called and called and he kept telling us he would come out but he would never show up. He told us it would be done by Thanksgiving but the job is still not done.

"We are currently trying to finish the last 10% of total job. I have tried to schedule work but the weather has been very bad ( rain and snow ). Homeowner combined payments in one payment. I will have job completed as soon as weather clears this week. We NEVER ask for money before work is completed and wish homeowner had not included full payment due to these types of situations. We try to keep a accurate schedule but is difficult this time of year due to weather. We are sorry that homeowner feels this way and will complete last 10% of job when weather breaks this week."

We purchased a $99 roof and gutter inspection. When the owner arrived, he stated becaue of our gutter guards that they could not check and clean the gutters. He showed us photos of flashing errors that our prior roofer had leaft and stated they would repair those with new flashing and guarnated no further leaks. Several days later I started picking up roofing nails off my deck that adjoined where the repairs were made. Upon inspection we saw many roofing nails laying on the roof. After a heavy rain, we saw water coming from a can light and dripping down an exterior wall. We called for a rework to stop the leak. Multiple calls were not returned. E-mail was ignored. Eventually when I stated we were going to post our experience on Angies List the owner called and made a service appointment. They never arrived. Call to the owner stated "they were just swamped and would get to us." Subsequent calls to reschedule were ignored. I would caution all members about the poor customer service and lack of responsiveness.

"We as a company want and respect the feedback of our customers. We in this case were paid to fix some gutter issues and repair a roof that we didn't install that was pretty much brand new. We did as good as job you could do without replacing the previous companies shoddy work. My men and me have been here twice to resolve issues with installed roof. I believe that issues are fixed as well as they can be without replacing. I informed homeowner to contact original roofing company since roof is only a year old. He told me that he couldn't get a hold of them. I will refund money because I feel we are being held accountable for shoddy roof work my company did not install. Our charge was $500 to repair a roof that was just installed by another company. I do t believe what we fixed is a problem anymore. The whole roof job was bad. I wish homeowner luck with company that actually installed and got paid for the roof."

He contacted me immediately after my coupon purchase, and came to check out the house. He returned a few days later with a ladder. Then he thoroughly walked the roof and took photos, which he said he would send.with an estimate on a roof. My husband said he did look in the gutters for standing water and adjusted one. He attributed the water problem on my deck to the shingles not overhanging the edge far enough. I never did see the photos he took, nor received an estimate. I presume that he realized we don't need a new roof yet, but I would have liked a message or call back to that effect.(That was the only reason that I didn't rate him as "A" for professionalism.) I think this coupon was over-priced, because I had another roofer do the same inspection for no charge, and actually received a written proposal from the second company, should we have an active leak. The coupon did give me an adjustment and a few rivets on a gutter and an opinion on the porch problem, but it wasn't $111 worth.

to get more done He did not replace the wood. We could see daylight! When we called, he came right back and fixed it. The problem seemed to be subbing out the job and then not checking on the subs to see what they dd. I think he is a bit short handed and trying to get more done than is possible.
I believe he is a good honest man, just bit off more than he could chew comfortably!

The provider was on site when I arrived and repaired my gutter. The gutter has been fixed and now the water is flowing again. He also cleaned out some of the stuff in the gutter which was not in his job description. I will use this company again.

Deal seems to be a hook to get you to file an insurance claim so the roofing co. Can get a whole roof replacement job. Repair was insufficient. Roof still leaks.

"I'm not sure what a "hook" is. We inspected roof and homeowner was told that her damage was storm related. I believe she informed me she already made a claim and didn't put a roof on house. We attempted to repair her damaged roof but made no guarantees."

He repaired nailing in the roof and did a roof inspection, but he didn't re-nail any of the nails in the roof or gutter. He proceeded to take pictures and tell me that I needed a new roof. He was supposed to be repitching the gutter and caulking were part of the deal, but he didn't really do those for me. He didn't do what I specifically wanted to the deal for. It felt like he was just a roofer trying to sell me a new roof. He did come out on time and was very responsive.

"I appreciate homeowners review but disagree in parts. Everything in inspection was completed with her overseeing everything which was done. Part of the deal was a roof inspection which was done. I told her that her roof was in bad condition because it was. I explained that she should call her insurance company. We never even gave or discussed her getting a roof or me providing a estimate for one. In the end I even cleaned out her clogged gutters which are not included in the deal she purchased. We work to make every homeowner happy and are sorry we couldn't in this instance."

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. He came in, inspected the roof and found that we had hail damage. We currently are going through bids to see which contractor we will select to do our hail repair. He provided a very basic service and the insurance adjuster corroborated what he said.

They did an excellent job. I didn't have additional services and repairs. I just had the $99. When he came out, he evaluated everything and he did everything he said he would do. I would definitely use them again in the future.

He came out and didn't even get on my roof. He said he didn't have the proper equipment to do my roof with him. He just walked around the house and told me I had roof hail damage from the ground. He spend most of the time while walking around my house complaining about how Angie's list takes half the money and he only get his half of the money if he does so many service calls. He said he would come back the next day but he never came back. I feel that I just wasted the $100 I spent on this big deal. I sent him multiple emails and phone messages with little response.. He told me he actually did come out and took pictures of my roof and I asked him to email me the pictures, he never has. Since then my claim period for my hail damage has passed and I missed the deadline as I waited on him to email my pictures. I don't know if he got overwhelmed by the response to the big deal, but I wasn't happy with his effort at all. Initially he was quick to respond calling me on a Sunday after I bought the deal on Thursday or Friday but that was where his professionalism ended. He arrived over 30 minutes late for the scheduled appointment and even though he lives close he never came back. I would not use them again.

It was sent several times but he never received because my office internet through Tine Warner was constantly down. I requested that Angies List refund him his money back after reading this review. Worked 2 days during extreme heat to remove and replace roof. Workers were efficient, friendly, professional and neat. John Bell kept me updated with details of the job and overall was a good experience.

I signed up for the inspection on a Sunday nite. I was contacted by River City Vinyl the next day (Mon). Due to my schedule and some rain threat, the work was completed on Friday (6 days from the time I signed up for the deal).
The owner (John Bell) did the inspection and most of the repair. He also gave me some detailed information on both my roof and gutter system on my house. A first for me, John actually called on the day we scheduled to do the inspection and asked if it was OK if he came an hour early (because of a chance of rain).
River City Vinyl was prompt, professional and fair. I would not hesitate to call this provider.

They showed up once and did not do anything because the pitch of the roof was too steep. I called them and they said they would come back and they never responded or came back.

"We came and inspected the roof. Homeowner was told he had some storm damage. We did everything which was included in the purchase of inspection. Sorry customer feels that we didn't " maintenance " his roof. We got on the section of roof that was walkable and said that the 12/12 pitch was not included in the inspection which the deal clearly states. I'm sorry Homeowner feels this way."
