On Friday October 16th we purchased a nice 2012 Ford Flex from Oxmoor Ford on Shelbyville Rd. here in
Louisville.
     Our salesman was a young man named George. George was very  personable and professional in his demeanor and my husband was impressed with him.
     The flex had 64,000 miles on it and appeared to be well kept and properly maintained by the previous owner.  The car was presented by Oxmoor Ford as a pristine vehicle with a clean Car-fax. After test-driving the Flex we purchased the vehicle. We drove the car for a mini get-away over the weekend. Overall we were pleased with the car?s performance although in my husband's estimation it could have ridden a little more smoothly. My husband discovered that the tires were over inflated and remedied that issue.
     As we were driving to our destination I was looking through the owner?s manual and other information. I discovered an
insurance card from the former owners. They live about a mile or so from us! What a funny coincidence!
     When we returned on Sunday my husband decided to wash the Flex. In doing so he noticed the bumper cover in front was not right. Upon closer inspection he could tell it had been wrecked before, he could actually still smell paint up close. My husband looked underneath and found the whole right hand inside bumper was duct taped all over. The duct tape served as a backer for bondo/filler material!! My husband was beyond furious and called salesman George immediately. George seemed shocked and surprised but said there were no managers there at the time. He indicated that it was doubtful we could return the car. My husband decided to visit the former owner and immediately drove there. The former owner was very nice. He told my husband that yes, he had hit a deer with the Flex. He traded it in to Oxmoor Ford damaged rather than make repairs to it because it would cost almost the same as his high deductible would be to fix it. 
     The repair Oxmoor Ford elected to perform was to duct tape the inner bumper and add bondo and touch up paint, and put it up for sale.
     We were most alarmed to learn this truth and we were left wondering what additional issues had possibly been concealed. We had zero trust at this point and wanted to return the car.
     The next day my husband drove to Oxmoor Ford and spoke with a manager named Chad. He was very nice and said they ?would make it right?. He offered to send it to the body/service shop to make repairs. We already had seen their chosen method of repair and with our broken trust we just wanted to return the vehicle. Chad agreed. I had to drive to Oxmoor Ford since my husband would have no vehicle upon making the return. We spent a good bit of time (during our work day) trying to figure out the money side. Our bank was able to put a stop pay on the check. The check had been deposited already but it had not yet been processed.
     We were sent figures on a new truck that my husband had shown interest in. We were told the offer would be better than the ?A Plan?. It was not. 
     In the end it was an awful experience and a waste of time and energy. We really felt doing business in this manner felt rather  fraudulent or at the very least hugely misleading to consumers. We felt duped.
      Both George and Chad were pleasant to work with. We must assume that these kinds of deceptive practices are dictated by
and approved of by upper management and leaders.  We understand the desire to make a profit, but we feel it should never be achieved by employing or encouraging dishonest or sneaky work ethics.
Never again. Buyers beware!

I have been to Oxmoor Ford before this time and have had a previously pleasant experience, however after my experience in the service department yesterday I will not only never return to Oxmoor Ford I will recommend to anyone I speak with never to go there either. I was have problems with my car dying and therefore made an appointment on Thursday 9/10 to bring my car in on Monday 9/14 at 9:00 AM. When I arrived I told Rick the service man all of the issues I had been having, he told me it would take 3-4 hours as he believed he knew the issue and the courtesy shuttle took me home. At 2:00 I had not heard anything from Rick or from the service department so I called to check on the status. Rick was not at his desk so I had to leave a message. At 3:00 PM I hadn't received a call back so I had to call again. When I finally spoke with him he had to call me back in 10 minutes to check on the status of my car. At 3:00 PM the mechanic hadn't even looked at my car when my appointment was at 9:00 AM and no one had called me previously to let me know what was going on. Rick also had never called my warranty to see what needed to be done to get them to pay for what needed to be paid because he called me saying there was an issue and I had to tell him he needed to call Carmax of Louiville and speak with them. I had to call him back again since he didn't return my phone call. By this time it is 4:00 and I am scrambling to find someone who can not only take me to pick up my son from daycare but that someone has to have a carseat because since I was told it would only be a few hours I didn't take our carseat with me. Then Rick calls me at 4:30 and tells me that the mechanic is saying the battery is causing a problem and they won't know if there are anymore issues until they replace the battery. The only cost I'm told so far my car will be is $169.95 installed for the battery. I agree that they this. I get a call back 30 minutes later that there are no more issues and the battery was the problem. I can come pick up my car. It is 5:45. My car has been there since 9:00 AM was worked on for an hour and a half replaced a battery, I was never told a status update until I called, I had to scramble to find a way to pick up my son because of this due to a replacement battery. So I arrive on site to pick up my car and pay my bill, I expect to be paying $169.95 for the battery replacement because thats what I was told over the phone by Rick how much it was. I get handed my bill and my total bill is $240. I'm being told that I'm being charged extra for diagnostics to check my battery, however I was not told this on the phone and this should have either been told to me or included in the battery fee. The service I received yesterday was absolutely appalling and I will also be contacting the BBB as I believe that other customers need to know how absolutely awful the service department has been. A simple status update phone call and letting me know exactly how much my bill was actually going to be would have prevented this entire situation.

was nervous to take car to dealer, as was afraid of high price tag of repairs (i guess based on prior experience with import car)
was pleasantly surprised at cost of repair, as it came in much lower than what i was even seeing online in discussion forums
i added the oil change and warranty repair when i arrived for the service, they said no problem and still got the car done the same day

I purchased a new Ford Taurus and I was told that I would be given the rebates--but those were not deducted as promised..overall it was a horrible experience with high pressure at this Ford Dealer--despite my good credit rating (they told me it was lower than it was) they financed with a dealer services company..
It was the end of the day and the finance manager was more concerned about leaving on a cruise..I feel I was not informed of the details of my purchase..it was basically sign here and here because the guy was leaving..

We looked to Oxmoore Ford to check our tires and brakes before going on a trip. I was concerned because of length of the trip and wanted them to go over the car beforehand to make sure the car was road-worthy. We've always gotten good service from them every time, and their quick lane gets you in and out a bit faster. They even have a car to take you home or to the mall while they work on the car. They prices are good, and they have some good customer bonus programs to save with too!
