I bought a 2015 Mazda3 at Oxmoor Mazda in February 2015. The salesman said that everything was included, which meant the Navigation system. After the car was delivered, I went to use the Navigation system, and it didn't work. When I took it back to the dealership, I had to argue with the salesman who said that it wasn't included. I had to get the paperwork to show the Manager of the Mazda group that it was. He had service order the necessary part, and I picked it up and installed the memory chip. The Navigation system still did not work. After 2 years of going back and forth (I didn't have the time to follow up on this endlessly) I took it to Neil Huffman Mazda on Dixie Highway. They got it to work and updated the maps for me. It cost $119, but at least now it works. Based on this experience, I am taking my car from now on to Neil Huffman Mazda for service. Based on the reviews I read on Yelp, other customers have come to the same conclusion. I wouldn't buy a car from Oxmoor either. They only care about selling a car. They don't care about you. Once you buy the car, you are dead to them.

I dropped off my car the day before. I chose an early appointment and by 2:30 I need to come get my car. I called and someone said it was close, so I just headed that way with my ride. When I got there, the service advisor said I had a transmission control module problem and they were on the phone with tech support, so they could get one warrantied. I told him I needed my car for the weekend, and he offered a loaner. I told him the loaner wasn't big enough, so he instantly got my car. Warned me that it was a safety issue, and gave me criteria in which I should instantly stop driving. He said he would call when the part came in. He did, and we scheduled the appointment to finish. It was not an ideal situation, but Oxmoor Mazda did everything the could to make it ideal as possible. Not their fault the TCM went out, but they went above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible.

I had been experiencing bumpy ride, feeling like something was wrong with tires, tire started losing air, and engine light came on.  They discovered the catalytic converter was bad, but replaced at no cost due to not being my fault (possible gas mixture problem).  Replaced bad tire (nail in tire), but shared cost 50/50, as they had replaced that tire the month prior.  I was given a loaner (snazzy convertible sports car) at no cost.  I was pleased with everything done at this location.  Have had no problems since.

Service department would not guarantee work.  If there continued to be a problem, it was in my car's computer, not their computer or their work.  Made me sign a paper, holding me responsible for payment, before work was even started.  Price quoted on the phone over 3 different phone call and in person prior to the time of service was $120.  Actual cost was $250.  They had forgot(?)  to add estimated labor cost. The $120 was just parts.
The service department manager attitude was that of superior being, lowering himself to talk to the customer.  He definitely thought he had the upper hand, he had what the customer wanted.  He seemed to forget that the costumer had the checkbook.
My whole experience was very negative.  I will not be doing business with this dealership in the future, parts, labor, or new car.  I will drive many miles to avoid this business.

Staff was professional, punctual, and professional.  They even gave me a check for $400 to help cover the repair costs of the car I purchased from them a week prior.  The problem was that they sold me a Saturn ION that had three warning lights appear two days after the purchase.  I was told that I purchased the car "As Is" and if they would have fixed these problems then the car would have sold for more.  I also found out later that they didn't even perform their initial inspection before selling the car because they had just recently received the car as a trade-in.  What dealership does this?  So the repairs cost me $1,000 and Oxmoor Mazda gave me a check for $400 to help cover the costs.  Seemed like a fair deal until a week later I decided to trade in the Saturn ION for a Honda Accord and the Honda dealership told me that my Saturn was only worth $1,000 because previous structural damage showed up on the Carfax report and the Saturn would go directly to Auction because it was considered a Salvage vehicle and this Honda dealership doesn't sell Salvage vehicles.  Makes sense to me.  No dealership should sell Salvage vehicles.  However, Oxmoor Mazda sold me one and didn't think twice about it.  If this can happen once, it can and probably has already happened again.  Stay away from Oxmoor Mazda's used cars.  You don't know what you are getting and apparently they don't either.  Great way to treat a Soldier, don't you think?  Don't worry though, I will ensure all of the Soldiers at Fort Knox, KY are aware of this dealership's practices.

I wouldn't normally trade in a car after two years, but I had a letter from the dealership suggesting my Mazda3 could be worth $13,000 - only $2000 less than I'd paid for it. So I thought I'd look into it knowing I'd be perfectly happy to walk away and stay with my current car. I had a figure in my head as I headed to the dealership and thought I'd be prepared to go ahead if I could get them under that figure. I hate the bartering this involves, the lengthy times they leave you waiting while they check with their manager etc. I guess its all part of the game, and I can play it too. In the end they came up with a figure I couldn't refuse - $2000 less than the figure I had in my head! Wow!

We bought a 2005 Ford Freestyle from this dealer. When we test-drove the car we were shocked to see that the interior was filthy. The car had sticky gunk inside the cup holders and storage spaces, and visible dirt on the floorboards. The back seat cup holder had ominous-looking fluorescent green goop in it, too. In spite of our initial second thoughts, we made an offer on the condition that they detail it. They said they would do it while we waited. When we got the car it was still dirty. They had simply run a vacuum over it. They agreed to detail the car again when I returned the next day to sign the final paperwork. (I had to get to work so the deal wasn't quite sealed.) That night at home I discovered that the rear passenger window didn?t work. When we returned the car to the dealer to be detailed I told them about it. Our salesperson said they would ?take care of that.? I took this in good faith and signed off on the car. We waited about 30 minutes, and then asked them just to call us when it was ready. They hadn?t called all day, so we called near closing time to check in, but the mechanic was already gone. The next day we called again and the mechanic said it would need a new window regulator, and that the dealer said we?d have to pay 50% of the repair cost. We spoke with the dealer, and his main argument was that we had gotten a good deal on the car, so 50% wasn?t a big deal. Ridiculous! He said they?d cover labor, but we had to pay for parts. They NEVER called us back to tell us when the car was ready. Finally, a full week later when we called, they said, ?Yeah, it?s been ready.? When I arrived, the bill said $0 for parts and $150 labor. I asked to see a statement showing the cost of that part. The man hemmed and hawed until going in the back and finally revealing a price of $106. In other words, since labor was more expensive, they wanted us to pay for that. They tried to nickel and dime us any chance they could, and guess what? It?s STILL filthy inside! It's amazing how people can wake up every morning and earn a living doing this to people every day. I recommend you try any other car lot in town before going there!
Response from Oxmoor Mazda
"Oxmoor Mazda appreciates the opportunity to resond whenever a customer complaint is brought to our attention. The customer purchased a used vehicle from us knowing the vehicle was being sold "As is". The customer requested that a window in the vehicle be fixed with his sales person as well as the sales manager. The window was fixed and the customer was charged our cost. The cost was discussed with the customer at the time of purchase. In regards to the issue of the cleanliness of the vehicle, Oxmoor Mazda would be more than happy to detail the customers 2005 For Freestyle again at his nearest convenience. Once again, we apologize to the member for his unsatisfactory experience with Oxmoor Mazda. Customer Satisfaction is highly important to us and we strive for 100% customer satisfaction."
