Nick's Remodeling Service

We hired Nick to remodel our kitchen. We could not be happier with the result. Nick showed up when he said he would and kept us informed about the project. Nick's work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to customer service are why we highly recommend him. We will definitely be using Nick's for future projects.

We contacted Nick a few months before getting started on a project to renovate our upstairs bathroom and install a half-bath in the basement. He came out and gave us a great estimate, even after we changed some of the particulars. The agreement basically was that we'd provide all of the fixtures (vanities, lights, paint, tile, etc.) and he'd provide the labor and basic construction supplies (drywall, wiring, lumber, etc.) as part of his bill. Nick's approach was a little less formal than the other contractors we brought it, which took a little getting used to, but as with any renovation project, you're left with the work and the bill and both were outstanding. Once he got started, he moved very quickly. Upstairs, Nick demo-ed the old bathroom to the studs, installed shower and floor tile, beadboard for the walls, installed new water fixtures and bathroom vanity. Downstairs he framed in the area around an old toilet rough-in and water lines to create a nice half bath. He installed a toilet on a tricky decline and a utility vanity. He also painted both areas. Really in about two weeks he was finished when other contractors told us it would take months. Even when there was an issue with carpet in our basement getting ruined during the work, Nick stepped up to help us replace it without any hesitation. We'd recommend Nick without any reservation and hope he can work with us again on future projects. He does a quality job done quickly and for a great price.

The remodel is amazing. The kitchen and bathroom could not have turned out better. The first floor looks completely transformed. Both the bathroom and kitchen required a fair amount of wood work and tile work. Nick and his crew (Cameron) do great carpentry and fabulous tile work. Throughout the project, Nick offered both practical and aesthetically appropriate suggestions to solve issues to our design. We hired Nick's Remodeling after a fairly lengthy search for a contractor. Nick got the job because he showed up when he said he would, provided an estimate in a timely fashion (his estimate from a cost perspective was about in the middle of the pack) and provided references upon request. (Yes, I called his references and they also spoke highly of his work.) Great result and I would hire him again.

From the very beginning at the time of the quote, Nick was extremely punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. He arrived on time and provided a quote via email in just a couple of days. In order to save some costs, I chose to complete the demo on my own (not a great idea, 8" of concrete later), and due to my detailed nature I chose to purchase all major items on my own to ensure I got exactly what I wanted! Once we agreed on a date to begin, Nick gave me an approximate 3 week time line to completion. Nick communicated daily on his progress, any details he needed cleared up, and any decisions that I needed to make. He ended up being done three days early, with an absolute stunning outcome. Amazing work, great personality, and my wife felt extremely comfortable with them working in the house. The work consisted of: Install new subfloor, Install new drywall, Install new concrete board in the shower area, install new Kohler bathtub, run new dedicated line for GFCI plug, Install new shower faucet set, remove and replace original window, install new subway tile in shower area, install two recessed lighting/fan combos, install new marble tile floor, install new toilet, install new vanity, install new faucet, install new medicine cabinet, install new sconces, make new baseboards to match original baseboards, paint all walls, paint ceiling, paint baseboards, paint and reinstall original door trim, and I am sure a ton of other items that I have overlooked!!! Cost below includes: All labor, new window, and all standard construction materials (Not major pieces)

They did a great job. I had a very limited time frame and they got all the work done recognized I was on a time restraint and worked around the clock to get it done. I will be having him do some additional work for me in the future

We are extremely pleased by the job that Nick did. We bid the job out to 4 people and Nick was one of the cheapest options. We had a good feeling about him and liked that he does most of the work himself, and what he doesn't do, he is on-site for and works closely with the sub contractors. More impressively, he stuck to the timeline and budget. In the end we are very happy with the basement and the end result. I would definitely recommend him and already have to others.

Nick did a great job.  He's very respectful and responsive.   The bathroom project went smoothly and looks spectacular.

Nick did a great job from start to finish.  He is a perfectionist that raised the value of my home due to his qualify work.  I would never hesitate to ask him do major work in my home again.  I cannot imagine a better experience.  We love the new rooms.

Nick was very professional and showed up exactly when he said he would.  The bathroom looks fantastic and I couldn't be happier.   I have a very old house and the bathroom was in awful shape after several attempts at updating it myself.  I finally called a professional and they came in and completely gutted it, replaces all of the drywall, tiled the shower walls and the floor, replaced the tub, vanity, sink, mirror, light fixtures, and door.  The quality of the work is really outstanding.

Nick came by to give me an estimate pretty quick. Getting the work started was a bit slow, but once going he completed the job over a course of a week. Easy to communicate with, open to ideas and suggestions, provides own ideas, was easy to come up with a plan for the project. Kept the area clean. Very quiet. Would hire again.

The bathroom looks terrific. Nick did a great job with everything from laying down the floor and installing the fixtures.

I'll start by saying that I wanted a crew that was only focused on my project and not split with another job. A lot of the bigger crews/companies seem to want to pump out jobs as fast as possible just so they can get to the next job. I chose Nick's Remodeling because of the consistent reviews about quality and responsiveness.
After initial contact with Nick, he came out to our house to inspect the location for the new deck and responded back with an estimate within a few days. My wife and I were still on the fence about some features and overall lengths, but Nick was able to re-quote fairly quickly. There was a little confusion about when we were on his calendar but that was quickly resolved. It even got moved up when another appointment had to get pushed back. 
Nick and his crew of 2 came out as scheduled and replaced the deck in 5 days. The quality was top notch. I do a lot of projects myself and take notice to the small details. Nick did a wonderful job measuring/leveling/function fitting everything together. The deck board screws were neatly aligned and railings evenly spaced. He even power washed the deck to clean off any unwanted dirt and grime. There was some leftover materials on the ground, but for the most part, they did a good job cleaning up afterwards.
Overall, well worth the price paid and would definitely hire them again for other jobs.

The project required six days and went very well. They were very careful throughout to protect the house and my wife's flowers. This took extra effort and was much appreciated.
The deck itself is very well constructed. Nick built a great deck foundation, used quality materials and the workmanship was excellent. He showed good creativity designing and incorporating unique steps and seating for the deck.
I will use Nick's Remodeling in the future and highly recommend them.

Project came out great; hard to recognize the space.    Went ahead and asked Nick to take measurements and come back with an estimate to also renovate the kitchen area of the same space (a third floor apartment in an Old Louisville Victorian).

Everything went as planned. Nick is very knowledgeable about his craft. He completely demoed a bath, then he installed a tub/shower, vanity and toilet. He installed porcelain tiles around shower as well tiled the floor. He installed toilet and vanity in half bath. He painted bathroom along with hallway and living room. Hardwood flooring was laid throughout hallway and living room. Me and my wife are very satisfied with his work and prices. We will be using him in the future. I highly recommend  Nick, you want regret it. His quality of work and price cant be beat.

My project was a complete got an Renno with the bathroom addition. Nick is knowledgeable, friendly, timely, kind and on budget. He's great with solutions to problems and also listens to his clients. I'm amazed that his skill in all things carpentry, tiling, painting, electrical? Everything!!!

Nick answered my call and kept all of his appointments with me. I had the worst time trying to find contractors that would A: show up, B: provide an estimate and C: give a reasonable estimate.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys.  They did everything I asked and more.  I sent him an email explaining what I wanted done and he called the next day.  He came out that day to take some measurements.  I had the quote the next day and he was able to start two weeks later.  
These guys obviously take a lot of pride in their work and they even cleaned up at the end of each day so I had much less mess to deal with than I expected.  I would absolutely use them again.
Before this was done I was embarrassed to have anyone see my bathroom (very old house and I had attempted to update it myself, which just made it worse), now I can't wait to show it off.  It's beautiful!
And the price was exactly as quoted.
I highly recommend these guys, you will NOT be disappointed.

When I had initially called Nick earlier in the year he was busy and couldn't help me with my project but after having trouble finding someone to help with the job for a decent price, I called him back.  Nick was a quiet guy, focused on his work.  He did a great job and even took the extra step and hooked up the kitchen faucet while he was there.  He quoted me much less than others had, even including extra custom work others wouldn't do.  It did take several weeks to complete the job due to timing with family events, but he kept me informed along the way.  I plan on hiring him again for several other jobs.

Nick and his entire team were profession and prompt. The craftsmanship and quality of work absolutely met our expectations. I had a total of 4 quotes, ranging in the scope of the basement. All of the quotes were in very similar ranges. None were what I would consider "a deal", but all were reputable. Nick had the best solution for an issue with our stairs and he was very responsive. Because of this, I went with his quote. I would absolutely use Nick again.
