Overall appointment experience was very positive. Staff is friendly, courteous, and efficient. Dr. Alt is likeable, thorough, and informative. I never felt as though he was in a hurry or disinterested, which is tremendous, as so many physicians are being pressured these days, to get patients in and out as quickly as possible. I left feeling a great sense of confidence.

In the first place, my neuropsychologist put a rush on the results of his testing so that this neurologist would have them in time, as they were crucial to my treatment plan. She claimed that she had never received them, and didn't even bother to leave my examination room to confirm this. I later discovered this was true. She then proceeded to and quot;listenand quot; to me, when it was clear that she had made up her mind in the beginning as to what was causing my seizures. She altered the time I took my present meds, but not the dosage. Again, I discovered shortly thereafter that her instant opinion was medically incorrect, and fortunately found another neurologist who listened, thoughtfully considered my concerns, took my previous testing into account, and then acted. Because of him, my seizures are extremely well controlled to this day. This is why I would neither return to Neuro Health Consultants, nor refer them to a friend.

He brought up some results we had no idea about prior to the appointment.
He is a good guy, and very knowledgable, but he is not the best communicator. However,I will continue to see him. I like that he is not as egotistic as other doctors.

I usually get in pretty quickly.

He is excellent at working with me on solutions. Very personable and helpful. Talks about new treatments coming in the future.
