The kicker is that I then had a friend's husband who does roofing as a side job come out on 03/29/13 and get up on the roof to look at it for me and he said that there was no repair done to the flashing around the skylight at all. The only thing that had been done was that A LOT of black putty had been smeared around making a big mess, but not repairing anything. He then repaired it for me, tearing off the shingles around the skylight, tearing off the flashing, and replacing both the shingles and the flashing -- all for only $350.00 -- and HE provided me with a receipt! And guess what? Several rains and storms later and no leaking ceiling!!

"It was very unfortunate that in this case that there were issues with the customer's insurance company regarding what they would be willing to compensate the home owner for. We felt the claim should have inclueded more than it did and this was a long drawn out process trying to negotiate in the home owners favor for a complete replacement.
