I wasn't very satisfied with them and every time I'd call them they'd say we are too busy call back again. The transmission works fine it wasn't leaking but they didn't go back in and they were careless about plugging all the electrical things back in. The housing of the transmission still had transmission fluid all over it.

We took our 2003 Honda Odyssey van to Middletown Transmission originally to correct a problem with it shifting out of gear (3rd gear) intermittently. They repaired the original problem and a few days after we got it back, it started shifting out of a lower gear. We called Shane, and he had us bring it back in. Since the problem was intermittent, it was very difficult to diagnose, but they kept at it until they corrected the problem, even though it took several return trips. Their warranty covers the repair, not just the work they performed initially, so all the additional work they had to do, was covered under the original warranty. I would recommend them to anyone needing transmission work.

Took my car to Middletown Transmission due to a drivability problem, which had been diagnosed by another servicer (who does not work on transmissions) as transmission trouble. Middletown Transmission called me to say the MAP sensor was bad and that the transmission fluid needed to be changed . (My car is a 2000 model.) I OK'ed the repair and was able to pick up my car the next day. The people I dealt with there all seemed to be knowledgeable and were courteous and efficient. I plan on using them for all my service needs in the future!

Turns out what they told me about O2 sensor (which I didn't go in for but told I needed) would fix a problem. The supposed fix did not fix the problem at all, but did add about $200 to my bill!

Our car had been making stange "wounded animal" noises and then refused to shift out of second gear.  We drove it to Middletown Transmission and Dave and crew rebuilt the transmission.  It has been more than a year and we are still very pleased with their work--so much so that we recently drove our other car in to be checked.  It had started to feel as though there was some slipping in the shift from neutral.  Dave and crew carefully checked it out (three mechanics) and decided it really didn't need any work at this time.  Many shops would have found a "problem" that had to be fixed.  We have been been impressed with their honesty as well as their service on both cars and will use them in the future as needed.

They told me this time that they couldn't tell what was wrong, and they didn't charge me anything. They are very reliable, very honest, and trustworthy. I would use them again in the future.
