It was pricey to have him come out, but it was worth the cost. He was patient and professional, he thoroughly answered my questions about the computer, and he did a good job with its configuration.

They were quick, honest and upfront in telling us what they could and could not fix. They also offered us a deal on some alternate suggestions.

My 22 month old MacBook was emitting a series of three beeps and had a blue screen. I googled the problem and learned that this was an issue for a number of Mac owners, most of whom said the RAM was bad and needed replacement. Considering my $1200 computer was less than two years old ( and past the warranty period) I was pretty disgusted to learn that it was having problems this early in the game. I'm totally illiterate when it comes to computer repairs and wanted to make sure I took it to an authorized Mac technician. I dropped off my computer on a Weds afternoon, and received a call Thursday morning with a diagnosis. Just as I suspected, the RAM needed to be replaced. The part itself was $75.00, and labor was $95.00 not including tax. The technician I spoke with over the phone was extremely personable and promised to call me on Friday. That morning I received the call as promised and my computer was ready to go. Overall the service was friendly and efficient, although the fine print of the contract noted there was no guarantee that Mac parts would be used to repair the computer. The people at Mac Authority were great but this experience (which I learned is not uncommon with Mac computers) will certainly keep my from purchasing another Apple computer in the future.

Okay, not the outcome you would have wanted. But gave good advice about recovering iTunes, and has occasional classes I'd like to see.
