Their pricing was cheaper than other competitors for the same dryer. The installation however did not work out. Since the location for the dryer was not next to the water hose they wouldn't install. I had to go out and buy the necessary equipment to install myself. I was also surprised that they didn't install the dryer vent duct; I also had to do that on my own. I also had to disconnect an old gas dryer that was left with the house and move it for them to haul away. I didn't expect that there would have been so many exclusions to the installation.

The delivery people were to arrive between 8:00-12:00. At 12:10 I called the store to inquire as to the whereabouts of the delivery people. After being placed on hold by three different (rude and dismissive) people I finally got a hold of a lady who wanted to be helpful. She attempted to contact the delivery truck repeatedly with no luck. Another hour passed and I called back. Again, passed on rudely until I came to the same helpful lady. Again, no luck. They eventually showed up at 1:45. I did discover that they did have an incorrect phone number on file so being the last delivery is understandable. The lack of responsiveness is not. The installer admitted to me that he had never installed a stackable washer/dryer. It showed. They hooked it up and forgot to put in the drainage line. They put that in, gave me a very brief and useless tutorial and they were on their way. Upon leaving I noticed they left two things for me: a scuffed up laundry room wall and a q-tip that one of them was chewing on. Awesome. I then went and ran a load of laundry. The machine shook violently to the point I was worried that it was going to crash down. I then called and did the whole transfer-be dismissed-put on hold runaround until they got me someone in the appliances section. They indicated to me that they would send out the manager of delivery to look at the appliances sometime between 12:00-4:00 tomorrow. I asked that it please be closer to noon as I need to be somewhere at 4:00. As of this writing it is 1:00 and I have not heard from them. We saved some money by not going with a local appliance store. I will not make this mistake again. Lowes is not responsive, not professional and thus far ineffective. TBD how this ends. But thus far I have taken a full day and a half off of work, spent $1500 and have loads of dirty laundry piling up to show for it. Thanks Lowes!!
Update: the manager of delivery showed up. Much more knowledgable and trying to make situation right. He fixed the legs but was still unable to stop the shaking. The floor appears too weak and uneven (old house with hardwood floors). He also believes the washer was faulty and said he was going to have it replaced. He said he would take care of it and someone would call me that night to schedule delivery. No call occurred.
Update: after no call back I contacted the store manager. Upon hearing what had occurred he said he would call me back shortly (that day) and schedule a time for delivery. Guess what? No call. So I drove to the store and met with the same Manager who was leaving for the evening. He apologized for the lack of a call back as he asked his delivery manager to call me back. So he set up the delivery for the next day between 12-4. Guess what? Yep, they no-showed. Amazing. I am now waiting on the guaranteed delivery at 8:00 am for their poor service (their words). It's almost 9:00. No word. The BBB will be notified tomorrow. Lowes is incompetent and mismanaged.

He did a good job. I called him as our garage door stopped working and he came early the next morning and worked on it quite a while and completely fixed it. It was kind of expensive and I couldn't open the door and it is annoying when you have two cars in there and you can't open the door. He came in and he was able to get the door open and my daughter was able to get out and I am retired so for me it is not critical but still you need your car. He did an excellent job. He gave me 10% Angie's List discount but the quality was worthwhile and I don't shop around for those things so I don't know what the going rate is. We needed it and he was able to come right away. He was available to us when we needed him and he came and at that time that was the important thing because it wasn't working at all and we needed to have it fixed. We tried somebody else and that person probably messed it up. It was referred by a friend and sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesn't.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased for a gift card. It was a $20 gift card for $5. The shopping trip was uneventful, which was good. I like them because they are more focused on individual households instead of contractors. They didn't tick me off.

We have been very pleased with the results and especially with the personnel at Lowe's Installed Sales Dept. They called to be sure everything was done correctly and that we were satisfied. We were so impressed with their responsiveness that we've now ordered carpet and installation from them. If you place a special order from them be sure to let them know if there are any problems---but be sure to talk with the Installed Sales Dept. We tried remedying our problem with the salesperson that initially took our order and that was not successful. Our overall experience was excellent but only because we persisted with our problem (i. e., we tried to work it out with the salesperson but had to end up going to the Installed Sales Dept.).

MY FATHER DID THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK. HE WENT TO GET THE SAMPLES AND THEY EXPLAINED TO HIM HOW TO PUT THE HARDWOOD DOWN. WE BOUGHT ENOUGH TO COVER TWO AND A HALF ROOMS. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.

THE QUALITY OF THE WORKMANSHIP WAS EXCEPTIONAL. OTHER THAN THE PRICE, WHICH WAS A LITTLE HIGH FOR WHAT I GOT, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THE SERVICE. IF I FELT THAT I COULD HAVE PUT IT TOGETHER MYSELF I WOULD HAVE SAVED SOME MONEY. BUT SINCE I CAN'T I WOULD YOU THEM AGAIN WITHOUT ANY KIND OF HESITATION.
