LARRY'S MOVERS

It was the worst moving experience I've ever had. They doubled the price and put my things in the wrong places.They caused an accident with my car and didn't take responsibility. They stole things from me, my couch was ripped, and my furniture was gouged and heavily scratched. They took off without telling me they were leaving.

Very punctual and friendly. Were friendly and professional. Only complaint was that they seemed so rushed at the end that they were not putting boxes where i instructed therefore we had to move some ourselves.

Pros - Very good. Very fast and efficient and professional. We used the per hour based plan. I don't think they wasted any time at all. Cons- Processing credit card over phone. I hope they will be able to transition to a safer alternative. Overall: highly recommend

Right on time and VERY careful. They are the only mover's that I use when I get something on Craig's list that needs movers.

They were prompt, courteous and very conscience. They would make sure you knew if there was an existing scratch or defect prior to moving the piece and they were extremely careful and fast. We loved them and having used a number of other movers, loved the price and the guys were wonderful, I would definitely recommend them over any other movers in the area.

Fantastic. They were very careful and very trustworthy. I recommended them to someone at work several yrs ago and she was also very impressed. My sister paid the bill but said it was very reasonable. We were all impressed.

I couldn't have asked for more from them. I was offered an option of flat rate or to pay by the hour. I was a little leery of paying by the hour but I choose to pay by the hour. Watching them work you would have thought that I had chosen flat rate because they were flat out working hard and fast. They never took it easy or tried to rack up more time.
What I was most impressed with was their attitude. When unloading they would put my stuff wherever I asked them to...upstairs/downstairs didn't matter what it was or how heavy it was and I never heard them complain one time.
I was very happy and will most certainly use them again if I ever move. I would recommend them to anyone looking at hiring movers.

When I called to schedule my move I was told the men would arrive between 9 and 9:30 and as promised they were there at 9 sharp. The 3 employees were very professional and polite. They got all of my furniture loaded on the truck in just one trip which I couldn't believe considering the last time I moved with another moving company they had to go back a second time for another load. It took the guys about 3 1/2 hours to load but they took really good care of my stuff. After clocking off for a half an hour for lunch the men arrived at my new home. These guys unloaded the truck in a little over 2 hrs. They left no marks on furniture, walls or hardwood floors and assembled everything together. If your looking for a fast and safe move I would definitly recommend these guys.

We used Larry's movers for my mother's move on Aug 9, 2012. There were a few items they were supposed to move that they missed, but probably just an oversight. No problem, overall she was satisfied, and tipped them at the end. (Incidentally, like most people have commented in other reviews of Larry's on Angie's List, they spent a lot of time voicing their expectation of a tip.)
During the following weeks of unpacking and reorganizing at her new home, she came across the large glass container in which she and my late father had been collecting their loose change. The last time they counted, they had accumulated approximately $200.00 just in change. In the days immediately prior to the move, she had placed this jar in a plastic storage container both to protect it and to keep its contents from being too obvious. Anyhow, she found it approximately Aug 24, tucked away in a cabinet; the change had been emptied, and replaced with two cigarette butts. Neither my Mother nor any of her associates or family smoke.

She immediately contacted Larry’s, again Aug 24 (est.), but no one in charge was present at that time. They took her information, and on Aug 27 Clay Moseley returned her call. He was apparently a business partner of Larry’s Movers. Mr. Moseley seemed very concerned that this happened, and was certain that he knew which of his employees was responsible and did not seem at all surprised. He volunteered that they had been having problems recently with this individual, and insured he was going to “get to the bottom of this”. He did not commit to this, but he did mention that he would consult with his partner regarding compensating my mother for the theft. It’s now mid Sep and she has not heard from him again. However, the money is not the issue here. It’s the brazenness of not only stealing, but also leaving the cigarette butts as if to say, “Yeah, I stole your money. What are you going to do about it?”, and that management apparently knew of problems with this individual but continued to send him into people’s homes anyway.

I realize this could have happened with ANY home service company, and one incident shouldn’t necessarily condemn a business. Rather, this should serve as a reminder to us consumers to always keep your guard up, and beware of being too trusting.

The company provided a quick, concise estimate and I was told they would arrive between 9-9:30 am. Three very polite men showed up right on time (9:00) and were ready and eager to go. They packed every item and I was comfortable with the manner they went about their business and was assured everything would go and they even offered to move a few items that weren't on my original list as there was room on the truck
They loaded the truck (3hrs)...took only one small break...Unloaded the truck in about 2.5 hrs and were on their way...perfect move.
I would definately recommend them to anyone!

They were good, and I have actually recommended them. They were all the things that I wanted them to be when moving, they were careful with the furniture, they were courteous, they were efficient, they put things where I told them to, and they gave a good price.

Packing was painfully slow and a lot of things were just thrown in boxes.(like my good kitchen knives) instead of being wrapped properly. None of the boxes were labeled with what was inside so I had a lot of trouble when it came to finding my things. Moving was fine, they did a good job. Two of the guys were great, one was slow and grouchy and complained (same guy who did a poor job of packing) They mentioned several times how they liked to be tipped and how I looked like I was a good tipper which was a total turnoff...

Everyone we dealt with was very polite and their rates were reasonable. We paid a flat rate and they still did the move in a very timely manner. They did put a couple of nicks in our wall at the new house but they fixed them and the repair was very good. They did have to cancel the repair man twice, but he made it the 3rd time and since I do not work outside the home that wasn't a problem. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that they mentioned "getting a tip" several different times. The 1st time was within the first 10 minutes when they arrived. We had already planned on tipping them but I didn't like them mentioning it so often. We tipped the 5 guys $70 each so the exact cost of the move ended up $2000.

LIKE I SAID I CALLED THEM THAT DAY AND THEY CAME THAT DAY. I TOLD THEM ALSO THAT THEY NEEDED TO BRING TOOLS AND THEY DIDN'T BRING TOOLS. THEY ENDED UP BORROWING TOOLS FROM MY NEIGHBOR SO I HAD MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT THAT. THEY DID DO WHAT I NEEDED THEM TO DO.

SERVICE AND LIKE THAT, I GAVE THEM B'S. THEY WERE NICE AND FRIENDLY. THEY ACTED PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS LIKE. THEY DID A GOOD JOB MOVING MY STUFF, THEY DIDN'T DENT ANYTHING UP.
