KENTUCKY MIRROR PLATE & GLASS

We had a window that was cracked for years but never got around to it. It was recommended we check out Ky Plate and Glass. Not only were they friendly and professional but the cost was cheaper than I expected. Also, they estimated at least a week to complete because they were busy but 3 days later they called to let me know the job was done. Will definitely use again and highly recommend!

Measurement and cutting are accurate, installation work is very professional. They also installed our old mirror as a dressing mirror as we requested earlier, nice and even. They also cleaned up the mirrors thoroughly. We are very happy with their services!

We have decided to go with something other than glass but I was happy with the prompt responses to my estimate requests. I spoke with them on the phone a couple of times to clear up questions and received a detailed estimate.

I had to ding them because it took 2 calls to get a salesman to call me back. I called the office and explained what I wanted. I was told Paul (a salesman) would return my call. I did not hear back from him, so I called early the next week and they apologized and said Brian would call me. He did call promptly and explained the process. I told Brian I was replacing my vanity countertop with granite and it was still a couple weeks away. He assured me it was no problem, just call him a few days in advance, he would take out the old mirror and come back after the new countertop was installed and measure. I called a couple days in advance and he had his guys out just as promised to remove and haul away old mirror. The countertop was installed that afternoon and Brian came out while faucets were being reconnected. He measured pretty quickly, checked for level and squareness and advised mirrors would take about a week.
When the installers came out with the new mirrors, they fit great and looked great. Only problem was Brian didn't take good notes and had the holes drilled too close together. The installers worked with me and drilled holes for me in the backplate for the light fixture and we were in business. If not for the installers helping me improvise, I would have had to ding them another point for quality.
The cost was reasonable, promptness was excellent (after getting past the initial contact) and the mirrors look great.

Great estimate. Was within $12 of estimate due to my not knowing I had low E glass. Set a date for me to bring in my frame and replaced the window in just a few hours. Just as promised.

Brian was very helpful and came to the house to measure and help us pick handles for the door. Installers were very courteous and did a great job. Left the space very clean.

I called 3 companies to get bids on the commercial plate glass replacement for this unit, and Kentucky Plate Glass and Mirror was the first to respond to my call by sending someone out (only a day or so after I called). This was great in terms of response, and I appreciated their promptly getting back to me, but I gave them a C for professionalism, because among one other thing, they did not call in advance before showing up to give me an estimate (luckily I was home).

The man who came out measured the window, and said they would get back to me. After a day or so, someone called me from Kentucky Mirror and Plate Glass and gave me a verbal estimate (would have been nice to get this in writing). After getting a slightly higher price bid from the 2nd vendor a few days later, and no call back from the 3rd, our homeowner's association decided to move forward with Kentucky Mirror and Plate Glass. I called and let them know, and they let me know it might take a week to get the plate glass ordered.

About a week later I followed up with them, because they said they would call me and I hadn't heard back from them. The woman on the phone said they had to check with their guy who does these things and they would call me back. A couple days later I get a call asking if I am at the building because they are there to repair the window. Luckily it was close to lunch and I was able to drive over and let them in. When they finished the work, they informed me that it was Cash on Delivery, and I let them know we would need to be invoiced, since it was for my HOA. The guys who did the install did not have an issue with this (they indicated that this was a common mix-up).

The new glass looks great and was installed quickly.

Overall, I would definitely do business with them again. They were very quick to come out and get us an estimate, and they did a great job. I definitely think they could get better at communicating to their customer in advance what to expect and being a bit more professional.

They were great. They were very nice and very professional. They charged only $5 for the glass. They are located downtown, which is nice. They have free parking in front of their business, so it is very easy to get in and out.

When I called them back about the estimate they did not call me back.

Outstanding. Jeff Spielberg the owner came to my house to measure the old door and enclosure for replacement. Jeff explained the different types of doors and recommeded using a frameless glass door and enclosure to replace the older "framed" style. The order was processed and about 10 days later the installers arrived and removed the old shower door and enclosure and replaced with a beautiful frameless product. It looks great and is perfect! Very competitively priced.

They did an absolutely beautiful job. I love my shower doors. They were fast, courteous and just really good people to work with. They measured everything perfectly and did a great job of installing them.
