We have been using this company for years.  But not anymore.

I called for an appointment for my AC leaking water.  They asked if I wanted a call 15 minutes before our 3 pm appointment, and I said "yes".

The tech, who turned out to be the owner, called at 3:10 to say he would be there around 3:35. I know "stuff happens", so I didn't say anything. We went to the basement and I actually figured out why the AC was leaking, myself.  (My patch job was coming apart.) Since he was already here I let him fix it. He went to his truck and got some PVC pipe and reassembled the part needed in 10 to 15 minutes of getting here. (He did not use primer on the connections, as anyone who has worked with PVC knows really should be done.)  I let that slide and I shouldn't have...He also let PVC adhesive freely drip on the concrete floor; yeah, my basement is messy and it isn't going to hurt anything, but I thought it was disrespectful.  

Anyway, he then sprayed off the coil outside, checked the pressure and put 2 lb of refrigerant in it. He then said he thought maybe there could be a leak there and we may need to have the thing replaced this summer or next summer.    No effort in trying to figure out the actual source of the leak (which is done with soapy water...not a high tech task). I decided I just wouldn't use him anymore.

After being here for just a little over half an hour he charged $245, which I thought was pretty high for the minimal repairs done and servicing of the AC. Then he drove off without leaving a written statement of his charges.

We feel like this was too much money for too little value received.   We will not use this company any more. My brother-in-law used to use these guys but switched for similar reasons. I though he was being too picky. I had good experience with them before, so I kept using them. But not any more..

My condenser unit would not come on, so the house was heating rapidly in
the 90+ degree weather.  I called KJB at 8am.  They said someone would
be out same day. About 10:40a, Mark called and said they would arrive in
15-20 minutes.  Sure enough, they knocked on the door just before 11a.
Mark and Adam had diagnosed and fixed the problem in 30 minutes.  I was
prepared for bad news (e.g., bad compressor, new unit), so I was
extremely relieved when Mark showed me a blown capacitor.  Mark and Adam were courteous and professional. I will not hestiate to call KJB with future HVAC issues.  Thank you for being so reliable!

There are a number of members of the family. The oldest man retired, and the son retired, now the nephew runs it. There were no repairs, at that point, he replaced the water panel for the humidifier.

It was very good. They were polite, they went right to work, they got it done, and got it fixed in no time. It was a minor problem. They were prompt in coming.

KJB provided a prompt response to my online inquiry for service repairs on the Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. Not only was KJB was the ONLY company I contacted that was able to provide an EXACT estimate for the costs of service up front, they were honest, efficient and friendly. I found KJB on Angie's List and after my positive experiance I will use them again in the future!

We have Trane unit that needed to be serviced.

Service was great.

I called Ken J Buehner & Son Heating Co around 2:20PM on Monday 18th of November from work and they told me they would send someone out to fix the furnance as soon as someone came available. I did tell them I was an Angie's List member and would have a coupon. On my way home 10 minutes later, their office called me and told me their service technician would be at my address in 15 minutes.
John arrived just as stated and I showed him to the basement where he found the furnace that I had already opened to diagnose the issue. I told him the issue issue was with the thermocouple because I could not keep the pilot light light long enough to restart the furnance. It took John about 35 minutes to listen to the problem, pull out the old rusted thermocouple, replace the part, and them check the other furnace workings to see if there were any additional issues. Luckily, no additional issues surfaced. I did ask him about the age and efficiency of the furnace. John did indicate that the furnce was 37 years old and about 60-65% efficient compared to the newer furnaces. He also gave me a range of what the newer model for American Standard would cost. He mentioned that the air conditioning exchange might need to be replaced because of some corrosion when I did a furnace replacement.
John got me the bill statement and I gave him check payment and the Angie's List coupon for the service call. I would definitely call Ken J Buehner & Son Heating Co again.    

We have been using Buehner and Son Heating Co for 4 1/2 years.  They are Very dependable, honest, thorough, and good at what they do.  We moved here from the LA area 4 1/2 years ago and haven't used any other Heating Co.  Would recommend them to anyone!  GREAT JOB Buehner and Son!!!  Just called you for our twice a year inspection of our Heater the cooler weather will be here soon glad we use you guys=)

Everything was excellent. My only complaint is that they put a vent that does not look good on the front of my home and I was under the impression they were putting the vent on the side. They do not accept credit cards as well. Everything other than that was good.
