The mechanic at Michael Tires they told me the air filter on the engine of my Previa had tar stains from when it had been Ziebarted (i.e., undercoated with tar to protect from corrosion) back when the car was new. This suggests the mechanics at Jim Hendrix had NEVER changed my air filter, though I'm sure they charged me for it. Let buyers beware!

I have been taking my car to Jim Hendrix Auto for years. They have been in business for years and years and years. I last used them in the later part of last year just to have my car serviced. They are very reasonable, I would not have been going to them if they were not. My Aunt used to go to them. I started going to them when I moved here. I found them to be very comparable to who I used when I moved here.

Went in for oil change and asked Jim to do a check of the car for anything else that needed to be addressed, but that unless it was critical, don't do any extra work because I couldn't afford the extra expense due to a big vacation I was about to take. He told me there was extra work they found had to be done and it was a major cost (~$350). It was done and I spoke to his mechanic who told me it wasn't critical and could have waited. I was very upset with Jim for having that work done when I told him my concern with any unneeded extra expenses. He worked with me some of the price because I was upset, but I never went back as I felt I couldn't trust him anymore.

They are the best. They are always right there and very dependable. All of their repairs hold up. I've never had to take anything back because it wasn't done right. They do a good job, really quick and very efficient. If you've got something wrong with your car, you can usually get it in there within a couple of days. They are really, really good and I think their prices are reasonable.

I have used him for about 12 years. They are honest and trustworthy. They never fix anything that didn't need it. They are honest and reliable. You can leave it there parked overnight and drop the keys off. They call and talk to you about it. You can go in and talk to them personally. They are very contentious.
