After a misunderstanding of the starting date, the workers came when they said they would. The new drywall ceiling in the kitchen was not satisfactorily finished off. The seam was very apparent as well as several bubbles showed. All ceilings needed a second coat of paint. The ceiling fan was very wobbly and the opening in the drywall around the other ceiling light was square when it should have been round.
When the supervisor came to check the work, he concurred with our assessment. The workers came back promptly and corrected everything except the fan. They called in an electrician who worked on stabilizing the fan but without success.
A new fan very similar to the original was ordered and installed by the company.

Imperila Restoratiion was hired to replace and texture several sheets of drywall, and repair two custom built-in shelving units in Aug 2011.
The drywal job was very sub-par with obvious flaws, especially the joints. Had to be torn out and redone. It appeared that the crew that did the first repairs had never hung drywall before. There was a several week lag to get it redone. The guy (Juan) that did the rewok did a good job.
The company textured the ceiling, but the job was not done correctly and took longer thand expected. It had to be sanded and retextured by a different crew member. Again, there was a several week lag - Juan did the rework and it was well done in a reasonable timeframe.
The custom built-in shelving units needed repairs to the end caps and bases. I requested a finish carpenter, but the first "carpenter" that did the work used the wrong materials and did a terrible job. The work he did had to be redone and the second repairs were not much better so the work had to be redone a third time.
The original estimate was a little less than $1700, but the invoice I received was for $2400 and included repairs that were actually completed by another contractor. I had to meet with the project coordinator to confirm the discrepancy and agree on the amount of work that was completed by Imperial. The second invoice came in at almost $2000, and included fees for "Overhead = 10 %" and "Profit = 10%" - these fees were not in the original estimate.
I had to deal with the owner of the company in order to get the invoice straightened out. In the meantime I received at least two threatening past due billing notices the first one arrived befoe the shelving repairs were even completed. The project took about 7 months to complete due to the rework and delays. Overall, the company was disorganized, not consumer oriented, and questionable with it's billing practices. The company reps that did the estimates and coordinated the work were not very customer oriented and difficult tow work with or contact. The owner was actually threatening when we discussed the overcharges, the inappropriate past due notices, and the poor quality of the repairs.
I will never do business with this company again.

Recommended by our insurance co. Gave a friendly and timely estimate, but things went downhill from there. Did not show up multiple times. Came and left quickly multiple times. Left debris in our neighbors driveway. Took over one month to finish a small job after countless unreturned phone messages. Gave several excuses (which ended up being incorrect) as to why they could not return to finish the last part of the job, and it took them over a month to come back and finish the last part of the job after many phone calls! Flashing was not up to standard and had to be redone. Still looks ugly. When presented with final bill we had been overcharged and there were many inaccuracies (including charges for things not done), that had to be corrected.
