I think they are good, but that is not a big surprise; everybody knows they are good. They have stores in several locations around the city. They have one in the town that I live in and they also have one on Highway 42 that I use. I go back and forth between them. We kind of go once a week actually because my husband has some shirts that they do. I don't know anybody else's prices so I don't have a really good comparison. I don't think they are inexpensive, but I don't have a good frame of reference. They are not perfect but they work with you. I take all of my best clothes there. I don't know anybody better than they are.
1) The coat came back to me, still full of hair and lint. Wasn't that supposed to get removed as part of the cleaning process?
2) The worse part...The coat has a belt, with a very elegant buckle. It is actually what makes the coat very nice. However, the people at this place totally ruined it. The buckle is scratched, and scraped. The edges are so sharp, I am afraid I may cut a finger with it. When I asked them about why it was like that, they said I should have been told that it could happened due to the tumbling process. However, the person who received my coat NEVER mentioned anything about possible damages of the belt in the cleaning process. Otherwise, I would have never left the belt there.
I brought the coat back to Highland Cleaners and ask for a supervisor but there wasn't one at that time. I was told I was going to get a call next day, but that NEVER happened. I called again and again trying to resolve the issue but I was never able to get an answer from assistant managers. I ended up contacting Anne Jones, the president and one of the owners of this place, to see what was going on with my coat. She accepted that the coat should have been hair and lint free, therefore they were going to remove that. However, they couldn't do anything about the belt and that I should contact the brand that made my coat since they should give me a new belt. Long story short, the brand never sent me a new belt and I have my expensive coat damaged.
I don't recommend this place at all. The customer service is extremely poor and you can see it from the moment you drop off your clothes at this place.
