Nice and conveient but expensive.

I brought another car there previous to that and they were just very good customer service, sent me a thank you card in the mail, I thought I needed a couple of other things done and they told me I didn't need it so that was good. I would suspect some other mechanics might just agree with you that you need things. They are forthcoming with the services that were required and not maybe what I thought that might be needed. You pay what you get for, I don't think they are the cheapest in the town but their quality of service is good.

It’s been fine. We’ve used them several times. They’ve been perfectly acceptable. The price is reasonable. They are very convenient which is why I go to them. They have good recommendations. We’ll take our car back there again. They are very nice. They do the work promptly. When you take the car there and make an appointment, they’ll you an estimate. If it involves taking the car back another time, sometimes you get an estimate. When you have an appointment with them for the work to be done, they are very timely. If they get done earlier than they expect, they will call you. They just don’t let it ride. They are very efficient in terms of their work schedule and their output. They have good customer service. We’ve gotten feedback from them since we’ve taken our car there. They are very aware of keeping in contact with their customer base. They keep track of the mileage and when you had your oil change and things like that. So that’s good because sometimes you forget. It was a very good work. It might have been a little more expensive than we had expected but the prices out here a little bit high. I’m willing to pay the higher price for the convenience but I think it is a little bit higher from some other places.

Went well. While in the shop also had them replace the outside temp display since they were able to locate a used one at considerable savings compared to new one from the dealer.

Work done adequately.

Prompt, efficient repair.  Fully explained possible problems when I first brought it in.  Seemed a little expensive, but there appears to be no such thing as a cheap, good mechanic.  Was honest when they could have run up the bill with un-needed add-ons.

Lowest of the four phone estimates I got.  Easy check-in.  Work done in a three hour window.  No attempt to upsell to other services. Friendly, knowledgeable tech.
Overall, the best, most cost efficient auto service I have received lately.
My only gripe is a $10 "Environmental Fee"  which was undefined and unexplained.  That bumped the phone estimate up by 20%, but still lower than other estimates.

I've used this branch of Harrods Creek Auto Service for over 6 years with no problem until now.
Usually, ;I bring the car in for regular servicing, they call me if there is anything out of the ordinary in cost or service.
This time, I was told they would do a 'check up' that would be about 2 hours in labor due to the mileage.  They did not quote a price and I should have asked.  I called later in the afternoon to check on the car.  "It was on the rack" was all they said.  I told them I would come and wait for it since my ride was available.  I had no problem waiting for the car. At this point, I was still thinking it was a regular oil change plus 2 hours check up.  No one said anything to me about anything else. The problem was that , after the car was ready, all of a sudden, the manager was explaining something about an oil filter housing that broke when trying to get it off and blamed the manufacturer...and charged me for the replacement.  When the bill was tended, he was nowhere around and I was shocked to see the price.  Since I have had good service there in the past, I might try them again.  Next time though, I will emphasize the need to consult me upfront about any parts and service over and above the estimated cost of service.  I have lost my trust in this shop and they will have to go far to earn it back.  If I can find another one on Angies list...I'll switch.

I've used them before. They are extremely honest and very thorough. They spent a lot of time on the back end explaining and educating the work that was done. They were very competitively priced. They are pretty darn good.

I just started another contract job when my front passenger's side window wouldn't roll up. I suspected it was the regulator and removed the door panel myself to confirm it. I sent a picture to their email address, and they got the part for me. The shop is very patient; I wasn't able to bring my car in until a week later. They also said that if I leave the door panel off, it would save them time, which saved me money (labor is by the hour). They didn't have to do that; they're really nice people who look out for others. Parts are ordered for overnight or next-day delivery. Very fast turnaround, especially when you schedule in advance. Always excellent service for my diesel car with mechanics that I trust (and one of the mechanics is VW-certified). Better service than a dealership with the cost and friendliness of the small business that they are. They are worth the half-hour drive when there are issues that I can't handle myself.

They are excellent. They are honest. They do not rip you off. I was happy with them.

Got in fairly quickly. They finished repairs in one day. Very professional and courteous. Hourly labor rate = $85.00. Also, did an oil change on Toyota Camry Hybrid (which a few places said they couldn't do).

They keep accurate records on the owners' cars and provide preventive maintenance by inspecting potential problem areas. Cars are test driven after service to make sure no other problems are noted. This keeps cost down for the owner as well as avoids unexpected breakdowns.
