Very prompt in responding to my request for a quote and inspection date.  Office staff was very helpful and accomodating as I had a short turn around time and was relocating to the area from out of state.
Greg did a thorough job inspecting the home and presented an detailed and easy to follow summary of items that needed attention or repair.  He was quick to respond to my questions about a couple items on the report that required some further investigation and was able to provide me with the necessary details to address the items with the seller.
I have relocated several time in the past 15 years and had some not so good experiences as a seller with inept inspectors who did not understand local code or quite honestly much at all about the service they claimed to provide.   This was definintely not the case with Greg and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
He also came with a strong recommendation from my realtor who gave me names of 3 differnet companies to choose between.
He was on time, responsive and made sure I was satisfied with his services

Greg Jones and Sheryl Thompson were on the ball. My appointment was scheduled quickly and confirmed via email. I didn't have to schedule a separate termite inspection. They handled that for me and one payment took care of it all. Greg was very thorough with his inspection of the home and went over every detail with us. He answered all our questions. We ended up not getting the first home and have a contract on another home and are using Greg Jones as our inspector.

I don't even know where we would be without these people. Greg, Mike, and Sheryl (who Im convinced is actually an angel sent to save my sanity)...they bent over backwards to help us on our first home purchase. The seller was extremely difficult regarding repairs. Agents were actually even worse (on both sides)...but Greg and Mike managed to squeeze our multiple re-inspections in at the last minute (each time) to make sure everything was done, and done right. Somehow, Sheryl managed to deal with my craziness and I know that was no small task. She might have earned an honorary counseling degree during this process.
Greg came out for the final re-inspection at 8:30pm (because again, he was nice enough to squeeze us in to his schedule). He finished around 9pm as there were only a few things that still needed addressed. One issue....re-sealing of sliding glass door. Greg pushed back a little explaining that he had not seen that process done before, and that he was ok with it but he suggested it be tested to make sure it worked. End result....seller had to replace the glass. Even though he had been working all day on inspections, and it was 9pm at night....he kept a smile on his face and even got us to laugh a few times.
If you are purchasing a home, and want some ease of mind....you need a Greg Jones Home Inspection. Price is average for what I researched but the quality of service is WAY above what I would consider average. Which, in my opinion...makes the price extremely cheap for what you are getting.

Mr Jones pointed out a number of issues including a beam that suffered termite damage in the main crawlspace. He noted failed window seals that were visible without his report .
He did not catch the leaking sink which was evident on the day I moved in nor the failing coating on the clawfoot tub which was evident the first time I filled the tub with water
He expressed that the paint and siding were fine. Later investigation on my part revealed that horizontal clapboards should never be caulked as this caused moisture to collect between siding and house and encourages rot. I consulted with professional painters who agreed that the work was substandard. Mr Jones returned and refunded my money.
Recently a contractor noted substandard work in another smaller crawlspace. Two contractors stated that there was earth to wood contact which should have been noted by an inspector. My realtor called him to look again. After four weeks he showed up and he argued it was not his job to call out earth to wood contact. I called him a vulgar name at that point something about a and quot; dumband quot; rhymes with duck.
He left my property.
I cannot recommend this inspector.

Greg was prompt and very thorough. He climbed on the roof, crawled trough the attic, and laid on the floor to get into/under cabinets, in addition to checking just about everything in the house. He was friendly and professional and readily answered all my questions and inspected or re-inspected anything about which I had a concern. The inspection took about 2.5 hours (for a 1900 sq. ft. house), after which he printed a complete report and discussed all of the issues which he found and, once again, patiently gave time for any questions I had. In addition to the printed copy of the report he gave to me at the end of the inspection, he provided me with an internet link which provided access to an electronic (.pdf) copy of the complete report for download.Greg

It went really well. He called to tell me he was going to be a half hour late. He was there from 1pm until 5pm. He went over the report before he left. He was very thorough. He is very well respected in the community.

Very prompt and on time. He did miss a few things that I had noticed but once I pointed them out he was able to look at them. He gave me a good estimate.

Mr. Jones was outstanding. His company was the only one we could find willing to do an inspection late in the afternoon, which was very accommodating to my husband's work schedule. He was very detail-oriented and professional. He has an electronic system and the report (with color photos of areas of concern) was available immediately. The report is also available on his website for a year. We'd highly recommend this company.
