We were extremely pleased. Our LG&E energy audit showed an improvement in the efficiency of our home by 58%, and we received LG&E's $1,000 credit. They were professional and very knowledgeable. However, they only do insulation, we had another company (ACN Home Services, LLC) come do our air sealing (caulking windows and weatherproofing doors).

They were quick to come out and provide an estimate.  Nick is very knowledgeable and spent the time with us that we needed.  We thought that we wanted to have attic work done also but he determined that it would not be cost effective.   We settled on the basement work.  They scheduled the work sooner than was promised and then had to reschedule due to other jobs that took longer than expected.  They were very quick to communicate this with us and still got the job done the same week.  The crew was very efficient, respectful, and pleasant.

LG&E had done an energy audit of my house and 2 recommendation were to apply additional insulation in the attic above living spaces and to install some type of insulation board on the kneewalls facing toward the garage, which is not insulated. This would help remedy some of the cold air flow from the garage into the living areas. Nick provided advice on how best to implement LG&E's recommendations. Nick did a very thorough job of inspecting my attic area and seemed to really understand the problems I have with air flow. He went into some pretty tight areas so he could get a complete picture of my existing insulation. He recommended applying spray foam to the kneewals and duct joints and spraying cellulose in the attic above living areas. I had the job scheduled originally in December when we had bad winter weather so Graber had to reschedule since foam has to be applied at a certain temperature to be effective. When the weather improved, I rescheduled the application for late morning. It was my understanding that Graber would do the spray foam first and the cellulose crew would come in after. When the foam guys didn't show up at the scheduled time, I called Graber and they said that the crews were trying to catch up from the bad weather and were running late. I told the office I wanted to reschedule but that it was important for me to be notified if the scheduled slipped. The office was willing to schedule one day for foam and another day for cellulose but I was unwilling to do that - I wanted the job completed in one day. Even though I was scheduled a little later than I would have liked, the new schedule allowed both crews to finish their work on the same day. On the schedule day, the foam crew showed up ahead of time. They got to work and were done in a couple hours. They did a great job of cleanup - I hardly knew they had sprayed foam from what I could see in the garage. They were professional and very courteous. The cellulose crew showed up a couple hours later and, again, were very professional. The guy who was actually spraying the cellulose had to get into some really tight spaces but he did so while the other guy made sure there wasn't a big mess in my house or walls were damaged. I was really pleased with their efforts. The cost was a little high because of the spray foam but Nick explained they have a minimum $1000 for the foam application but I feel the foam guys gave me my money's worth looking at how they sprayed those kneewalls. They sprayed so that there is no air flow from the garage. This job has paid off already in my comfort level. When we had below 0 temperatures I stayed nice and toasty in my house at 70 degrees. That wasn't possible last year when temperatures also got below 0.

The salesman, Nick, arrived on time for the estimate. He knew his business and provided an estimate in a timely manner. The Foam Crew arrived on time, went right to their work and completed the first phase by mid-afternooon. The only problem was a few drops of foam that fell from an intake vent onto a bedroom rug.  The crew (with Nick's review) did not attempt to clean the foam ? but rather called in a professional cleaner who managed to clean up the spots to our satisfaction.
Two days later, a crew arrived (again on time) to complete the job by blowing in the cellulose insulation.
While it is too soon to evaluate the real savings of the work performed. I can report our furnace does not work nearly as often to maintain the desired temperature and (a real bonus) the furnace noise has dramatically reduced since adding the foam seal coating.

Excellent service and cost, very clean, did not even know they were there after they cleaned up. Completely foamed all outside walls with 4" open cell foam, excellent application.

We had two companies give us an estimate. We went with Graber because they had done some work for a friend of mine and were highly recommended. The job took just a few hours and the crew was very polite and professional.

Nick (owner/manager) arrived on time for the initial estimate.  He is very professional and thorough.  His was the 2nd of the 3 estimates we obtained.  Our master bath and closet is situated over the two-car garage in our 20+ year old house. The floor of the bathroom and closet was very poorly insulated (very cold in winter and hot in summer).  The 2nd floor HVAC is also located in the attic space above the garage.  The project was to foam the entire ceiling of our two-car garage, plus seal the utility area housing the HVAC unit. Nick pointed out things that needed to be done that had been overlooked by another bidder.  He provided a very thorough contract that summarized virtually all of the small details that he and I discussed.  When the installation date arrived, Nick showed up shortly after his crew (Sean and another technician whose name slips me) arrived.  Nick walked the technicians through each step of the detailed contract (without having a copy of the contract with him).  The technicians were very knowledgeable, careful, and courteous.  They covered all areas that needed protecting from the overspray.  When they needed to come through the house to gain access to the utility room, they were particularly careful in our home.  Nick came back to check on progress toward the end of the day.  The technicians did an excellent job of cleaning up the area befor they left.  The day after they left, I noted a minor problem with the insulation around the drain line for the AC unit.  I called Nick to discuss my concern.  He came back the next morning and corrected the problem himself.  Graber's bid was a few hundred dollars more than the next closest bid, but we absolutely got what we paid for and much more.  The total experience far exceeded our expectations.  We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the product and especially the Graber people associated with our project.

Salesman came out and gave a quote within a few days.  Cost was reasonable for spray foam insulation of our band boards in the basement.  We had the quote done prior to having a home energy audit so we waited longer than 30 days.  Salesman was understanding and still honored the quote 2 months later.  Once the work was scheduled, two gentlemen showed up and were very professional.  They covered everything with plastic and built a tunnel for them to work in.  They applied ample foam to all areas and even addressed the areas I was most concerned about to my liking.  After spraying they removed all the plastic, packed up everything and left.  No smell, no mess and our basement is much warmer.  Definitely worth the cost!

I first contacted Graber via telephone and they scheduled a day to come inspect and give an estimate on the cost of installing insulation, both spray foam and blown-in cellulose. Their associate was very knowledgable and very helpful when it came to discussing the 2 different options and benefits of each. I emailed him with several questions and he was always quick to respond. The only hiccup came with a misunderstanding on the initial scheduled day of installation and we had to reschedule. However they were very accomodating and re-scheduled shortly after. The work was done very well and I had no issues on the day of installation. Overall very satisfied with their work and have really noticed a difference in how hot it gets in the upstairs of the house.

Overall, this was a very positive experience, and it is important to note that before selecting Graber, I attempted to get quotes from two other highly recommended companies.  Because this was all a part of a mortgage process, I needed things within the time frames the bank provided.  Graber was the only one to get a quote in on time.  And, when the other quotes came in after the fact, his was also proven to be a competitive quote.
The work was done, a follow-up energy audit found it to be effective, and the bills were provided in the way necessary to be forwarded to the bank for their review and payment of the contractor.  Graber was very timely, professional, and patient through this cumbersome and demanding process, and I'd be happy to work with this company again.

The gentleman that came out looked around.  He suggested an energy audit be done.  The energy company that did the audit used infrared cameras to find where the insulation was and where the leaks were located.  They sent Graber the 33 page report with pictures.  I got a $150 rebate from the energy company for having the audit done.  Graber came out and did their work.  The energy company then came back out to do a final audit to make sure Graber did an adequate job.  Graber had to fix any problems at no extra charge to me.  I did have a few issues with Graber not returning my phone calls in a timely manner.  The job took longer than I had hoped it would take.

Salesman was very professional upfront and given my roof line indicated some concern that the spray foam could be applied such that it connected between the two attics. After consultation with his head of operations they agreed there was no issue. The application appeared to go well.

In winter of 2010, we noticed an issue and were uncertain if entire attic space including connecting space had been insulated. Graeber sent an individual out and he thought we had a problem and said he would have manager contact us. Manager did not contact us and never returned multiple calls I made to him. I sent a letter to the owners at the head office in Evansville, after which Louisville manager called and promised to come out in the next couple days. NEVER CAME OUT OR CALLED AGAIN.

Recently, talked with owner of small HVAC company and he stated he could not get Graeber to call him back either. I highly recommend that you not use Graeber.

It went great.  The estimator/salesman was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and was very responsive on the phone and via Email.  The installation team was highly professional.  The office kept us apprised of when the truck would arrive.  The office was very prompt in sending us the required tax credit form after the job was completed.  Our house is cooler.  I am completely satisfied.

My home is a 1921 home and did not have any exterior insulation in the walls. During the course of renovations it became evident that it would be a very wise investment to add some. After speaking with several companies using multiple techniques (Foam, Cellulose) and working with the Graber reps we were able to come to a good deal to blow in cellulose insulation into all the exterior walls. The Graber reps also went out of their way to get a cellulose install instead of a foam due to cost and were very accommodating in scheduling and working around other renovations.

A risk is that because the insulation is put in under pressure, interior walls might crack at a drywall joint or plaster can crack. Although I'm told this is rare, this did happen in my home. As customer agreement stated, company did handle all repairs to my complete satisfaction. Unless you are within a few feet of the house and looking for it, its difficult to see the drill holes into the mortar. Too early to tell yet what impact will have on utility bills.
