Geek Squad didn't do very well. It wasn't a good experience. They did some things that they weren't supposed to do. 

It seemed like their initial response to any problem is to sell you the highest level service plan, which may or may not cover whatever repair you need to have done.  However, I found that by asking a number of questions about my options and what the bottom line total cost would be for each one, they were pretty cooperative about arriving at an approach that accomplished what I needed (recovery of the data) at a reasonable expense without paying for things I didn't want or need.  I think overall, they are pretty reliable, but I wouldn't go there if my plan were simply to hand over the computer and rely on their first recommendation about what to do.  If you spend time talking through your options and asking questions, you should get to a good result.

The installer was amazing and so informative. I never knew there was so much difference in calibrated tv. THe picture is phenomenal.  I HIGHLY recommend to everyone! WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I give them an "A" across the board and I've dealt with them several times already. 

They did a great job. They were here for 3 1/2 hours and they only charged $129. That was exactly what they told us over the phone. They don't charge any more or any less. It was a flat rate price, which I liked. He stayed until he figured out what was going on and corrected the problem. The computer is working great now. He was an hour early for the appointment. He went above and beyond because we’d had this problem for three months. Another company stood at my front door and said there was nothing they could do and that we would need to upgrade our service. I would most definitely use them again. They did an excellent job.

After a terrible waste of time at Oxmoor Sears, we went to the St. Matthews Best Buy because their web site indicated having a decent selection of refrigerators. The area of the store is relatively small; however, that didn't keep the sales staff and at least one manager well hidden from us despite our making several laps around the area, i.e., I had to hunt them down when we decided on an LG unit that would fit into our limited space. The delivery actually arrived 10 minutes early and was very professional.

Took full advantage of my inexpertise. Told me our 6-month old Linksys router was "bad" and replaced it. Cha-ching. Told me my anti-virus and spyware software were inadequate and installed their own stuff on all 3 computers. Cha-ching X6! Told me I needed a new modem. I dug my heels in. Told me I needed to uninstall Windows XP and re-install to fix slowness on oldest computer so that it would work better and the other computers could "talk" to the printer attached to it. Arranged to come back 3 weeks later. I fixed the printer myself by uninstalling/reinstalling. Geek returned and set to work on my pc again. At one point I heard him talking to someone on the phone, saying that he had infected my computer with a virus. Gulp. Then he uninstalled/reinstalled XP without explaining that this would wipe out ALL of my files and programs. I had not backed everything up. Computer is still slow. He was repeatedly wrong about causes. Amazing salesman, though.

WE BOUGHT THE COMPUTER THERE SO THIS WAS WARRANTY WORK. WE BUY FROM THEM OFTEN. WHEN WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE DVD WE CALLED AND TOOK THE COMPUTER IN. WE HAD TO LEAVE IT. WHEN IT WAS FIXED THEY CALLED BACK. I BELIEVE THE TIMEFRAME WAS REASONABLE.

THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OBVIOUSLY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM AND EVERYTHING IS FINE NOW. THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL, THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE, AND I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH THE COMPUTER EVER SINCE THEY WORKED ON IT.

THEY COULD HAVE TAKEN MORE TIME AND GIVEN ME SOME MORE INSTRUCTIONS RATHER THAN ASSUMING THAT I KNEW HOW TO OPERATE THE SYSTEM. THEY WERE VERY NICE, BUT ASSUMED THAT I KNEW A LITTLE ABOUT COMPUTERS AND I DON T.

I WAS QUITE HAPPY WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. IT WAS ALL DONE WITHIN THE PERIOD OF TIME THEY SAID IT WOULD BE DONE IN.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY WEREN'T CONDESCENDING AT ALL. THEY EXPLAINED WHAT WAS GOING ON AND SHOWED DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR US TO CHOOSE FROM. THEY HAD ALL AROUND GOOD SERVICE.

I WASN'T REALLY HAPPY WITH IT. THE WORK THEY DID WAS OK & THE COMPUTER WAS SLIGHTLY IMPROVED. THEY SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE DONE IN 2 DAYS BUT INSTEAD IT WAS 2 WEEKS.

I SET UP THE APPOINTMENT, THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND THEY STAYED UNTIL THE COMPUTER FUNCTIONED PROPERLY. THEY MADE SURE EVERYTHING WORKED AND SHOWED ME. THEY WERE OVER HERE FOR FOUR HOURS.

IT WAS AN OK EXPERIENCE. IT'S NOT FUN TO SPEND MONEY ON BROKEN THINGS. THEY RECOVERED IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS THAT I WOULD HAVE LOST HAD I NOT HAD THIS SERVICE DONE, SO IT WAS WORTH IT.

THEY DID A DECENT BUT NOT A SUPERIOR JOB. THEY GOT RID OF THE VIRUS, BUT IT TOOK THEM A VERY LONG TIME. THEY DEFINITELY COULD HAVE BEEN MORE TIMELY. IF THEY HAD TOLD ME UP FRONT HOW LONG IT WAS GOING TO TAKE, I MIGHT HAVE GONE ELSEWHERE, BUT THEY WERE FINE IN ALL OTHER ASPECTS.

I FELT THAT THE GEEK SQUAD WAS ILL EQUIPPED TO HANDLE VERY MANY PROBLEMS. IF IT IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM THEY MAY BE ALL RIGHT, WE BROUGHT THE COMPUTER IN 5 DIFFEREMT TIMES AND EACH PERSON THAT WE BROUGHT THE COMPUTER TO THOUGHT THAT IT WAS A DIFFERENMT PROBLEM. I DIDN'T FEEL THAT THEY WERE TERRIBLY KNOWELABLE.

I WOULD TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY SHOULD GO TO BEST BUY. THEY HAD THE PARTS I NEEDED. THEY HAD QUICK TURNAROUND, WHICH I NEEDED. I WAS PRETTY SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK. THE COMPUTER IS RUNNING BETTER THAN EVER.
