Within 10 minutes I was called into the GAP shop to discuss what they had found.
The bolts on the left header were very loose and the gasket was now compromised by the escaping heat.
The reason the left header wouldn't line up was NOT a HEADER PROBLEM.
Meineke had left a piece of the old gasket in the downpipe and it caused the problem with the header lining up.
The mechanic at GAP got new gaskets for the left side header and the downpipe and bolted everything up.
The only issue the GAP mechanic had was the Meineke mechanic apparently had tried to force the header when it would not line up for him.
GAP did a GREAT job, were friendly and knowledegable ... and they charged me what they estimated.
I recommend these guys highly.
