Overall it went very well.  The things I liked most about working with Steve Thompson included that upfront he is a great brain-stormer and natural designer, and really helped me think about different options for spatial arrangement.  Throughout the process he was a great listener and never missed a beat, in terms of understanding what I was asking, discussing options, and delivering what was promised.  He also consistently met established deadlines with quality work, and was always willing to double-check anything I was worried about.  Additionally, he is very considerate of the property and person he is working with.

I would gladly work with him again, and have already recommended him highly to others.  The only thing I would do differently next time is to select a fixed price contract.  This time I chose time and materials because I did not have a completed design for him to bid on, rather we were designing as we went.  This was a choice I made because I was in a rush to get the work done, and Steve is the only contractor I would be comfortable working with in this way, due to his creative thinking and, especially, his great listening skills.  However, next time I will slow myself down and provide a completed design/scope to him for a fixed price approach.   

Fabulous. The bathroom is beautiful, functional and meshes with our historic home. Steve cared about every detail and spent soem of his free time shopping for just the right fixtures.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY THOROUGH. THEY WERE A LITTLE BIT HIGHER COMPARATIVELY IN PRICE. BUT I THINK THAT THEY CAN JUSTIFY THE PRICE, BECAUSE OF THE GOOD EXECUTION AND THOROUGHNESS. THERE WERE A FEW CHEAPER BIDS, BUT THEY WERE SO GOOD AND HAD PLANS AND GREAT EXECUTION THAT IT WAS WORTH IT.
