Professional, courteous, did job in timely manner.  The only C  rating I would give would be for Clean up and haul away.  Roofing material-yes.  Leaf pick-up from roof-NO.  Picked up 3 bags  inc nails and roofing debris that company should have picked up.

$178
I basically paid $178 for someone to go up on my roof for about 20 minutes. From what I understand he repaired a nail hole, and sealed some flashing. The original ad had a long list of repairs that would be made. I was charged immediately when I purchased this, but waited over a week without any response and finally had to call the company. I was told they didn't have a record of the purchase, and didn't know what was in the offer. In the meantime, the offer disappeared from Angie's List. I was asked for times that would be good for a visit, so I could be there to discuss the roof conditions. I returned to my office one afternoon with a phone message to call someone from the company. I did, but by that time he had come to my house, gone onto the roof for about 20 minutes (my wife was there), and left. I was supposed to get a report, but had to call a week later to request it. It was a short list of what turned up in the inspection, with a price to fix it. The men I talked to on the phone were polite, and the company may indeed do a good job with roof repairs. But this particular deal was absolutely not worth $178.

Never go by first appearances.  Installer was a bit on the "shaggy" side, but he was very polite and professional.  Thought price was kinda steep but didn't have anything to compare it to.

They were okay. The only thing that kind of caught us off guard when they initially billed us, they never gave us credit for the $159 so they billed us $559 and then my wife had to remind them about the $159 from Angie's list and then they changed it to $400. It was just a shame that we had to even bring it up. They know what they're doing. There was no issue with the service. We felt very comfortable that they knew what they were doing. They stated that the $159 was for $600 of services but we ended up paying a total of $559 but it was still a roof repair so I think all we got out of the $159 was $159. We didn't get $600 of roof repair because if we did, there would have been no additional charge. Regardless, they did fix it right but then again, that's kind of almost like false advertising.

We recently closed on a house in Old Louisville (House is 100+ years old and Victorian).  As part of our home inspection it was determined that our house would need a new roof.  The roof that would need to be replaced was 3 stories above the ground, very steep and awkward layout and has 4 chimneys.. a very difficult and dangerous job by an standard.
We went out for many quotes before contracting with Frederick.  Prices ranged from 5k to 25k as I imagine many companies would not want to tackle this job.   Joe came to our property and did the estimate himself and broke out the work by line item and got us comfortable with what he and his team was going to do.  Joe said that the quote he gave us (For about $8,400) was final and he would let us know if there was any wood issues (an incremental charge for new wood).
The crew showed up 5 days after I gave Joe the go ahead (His gave free estimates and did not require a deposit).  A crew of about 5 guys worked three full days.  Everything was taken off the roof, some new wood was placed down (approx $400 which Joe made sure I approved) and the new shingles were added.  They then took a magnet around my property to ensure that there were not any stray nails or other metal scraps.  3 yr labor and 25 yr material warranty on their work.
Very happy with my experience overall.  They had a foreman onsite who spoke English the entire time and Joe dropped by when needed.  I am not a roofing expert, but everything on my house appears to be well done, I guess time will tell, but I am very happy and would recommend them.

Frederick's sent someone out to my house on a Tuesday to measure, show me shingle samples, and provide an estimate.  When I agreed to hire them they were able to come out the very next day and finished the job that day.  In the process they replaced a piece of plywood that was showing some degradation.  They provided a warrantee and threw in a prepaid gasoline card as a thank-you gift.  Overall I'm quite satisfied.

They did a perfect job! Showed up on time, professional installation, courteous service, complete and meticulous cleanup, etc. They were extremely nice, worked hard, and did extra things without charging extra.  This is the 4th roof I've had put on (yes, I'm old) and it was by far the best experience. My Dad was a roofer, so I know good work, and these guys were the best. Their price wasn't the lowest, but the value was the best because they didn't nickel and dime me after.

They are very prompt, professional, came out and did an estimate and they helped me worked in my insurance company to get the insurance company to call in and agreed to pay for everything. They did a lot of back and forth and they helped me with that for some extent. I actually got them on the insurance company and my back account, faxed over the contract and the next morning, they called me and asked me if they could start, so I was surprised in how fast they were able to get started and they work over the weekend. They started on Friday and they finished up with detail work on Sunday. They did the things I wanted them to do but I was worried that they wouldn't think like replacing that wood, they were very good at just doing what needed to be done. They seemed to take a lot of attention to detail just to make sure that I was happy with the final product. There is one thing, they had to come back and fix it. They worked when it's dark, so the next day, I noticed something and they came out and fixed it immediately. They had a nice crew. They did a good work. They're all friendly people. They are a local company and been local for 50+ years I think. A lot of time when you call, you actually talked to the old man himself, Mr. Frederick. He doesn't really go out and do the jobs anymore but he helps with the quoting and he answers the phone himself which is kind of nice. They don't just come in and try to be the lowest bidder so to speak. They go to the roof but I insisted them to use lead boots because it's more superior and it was already in the price. They used high quality products, seemed to very skilled, worked on a lot of issues and anything. They were good workers and I appreciate what they did.

They were very professional, timely, detail oriented, the work took about 3 days.  They cleaned up their mess and they didn't trample my landscaping too bad.  Great job.

We received a prompt viewing of the damage by an employee.  Within a week we had a written estimate.  We did not get any other estimates. New shingles were placed.
We used this company, as mentioned, in 1997 for  a new roof.  At that time we had a very fair estimate for actually 4 roofs.  3 on our tri level which has an enclosed porch and for our garage.   We had to have the roof taken down to the "wood".  A section of underlying wood was rotted and had to be replaced.   All the gutter nails were also replaced.  This was a complex job.
Since  February, 1997 roofing costs have risen significantly. We paid less than $4000 at that time for asbestos 25 yr guaranteed shingles.
Our roof is still in great shape

Several of our neighbors have also used Frederick Roofing and have been satisfied.

The entire crew from Frederick Roofing was professional, punctual, and informative.  We discussed all the options and they listened.  We disagreed on how to perform one minor repair but they did not argue the issue and completed it as I wanted.  This crew worked.  Other than lunch, I never saw any of them take a break.  They arrived at 9:30 (with a promised arrival time of 9ish - well within acceptable limits), and were finished and off the property at 6:00.  All lines were straight, all drip edge seams and corners are tight and flat and they, as a matter of policy, jacket all through-the-roof plumbing vents with lead - a practice that is not common today.

The cleanup was excellent - they left NO residual presence.

Although it is impossible to tell on the first day if there are any problems that may present themselves, I would be surprised if any future defects arise due to workmanship.

I would highly recommend this locally-owned company which has been in the same family since 1966.
