Basically ok. The job required more visits than should of Staff not knowledgable in some of the tasks to complete them well especially pedestal sink or dishwasher installation. Billing most times was inaccurate and hard to settle. Total job ended up way above estimate even considering add on work.

One of our pipes in the garage ceiling was leaking. I called Davis & Davis around 1PM on Saturday afternoon. John and Jordan arrived around 6PM. They were professional and friendly. They diagnosed the problem and repaired the leak in less than one hour. They were efficient and left the area very clean. We were happy they could fit us in so late on a Saturday. We will definitely use them again.

Amazing. These guys completed for $349. Another high rated Angie's List local company previously charged me a hundred dollars for an estimate and quoted the work at double the price which I did not use.
This is the second time I used them and again: arrived on time, extremely experienced plumber, extremely neat work with my copper plumbing and all aspects of the job.
After the install when I learned the floor drain connect plumbed into the sump pump pit when the house was built (believed non-code), they rerouted to a drain taking great care to follow plumbing code something my prior installation from a "professional water softener" company did not do when the previous unit was installed. I was not charged for this additional work and they included in the initial cost when I informed they of the issue.
Really stand behind their work.

Although I was skeptical based on my previous plumber experiences in Louisville area, Davis and Davis arrived on time communicated in advanced  when they would arrive and were highly professional.
Even though it was late Saturday night they installed a really top quality water heater and an amazing quality of Plumbing Work including fine work on the copper, gas and power vent connection.  When they were done it looked like a new house installation.
I was extremely pleased at all aspects including: workmanship, quality of water heater installed, completing work in a timely matter and clean up.
After going through several plumbers and not being pleased at the work I would definitely use them again and recommend you try them. as well.

Our toilet died on a Sunday morning and we panicked. We looked at many plumbers before we found Davis & Davis. We called early on Sunday morning and it only took 40 minutes for John to get out here to literally save the day. He was here an hour at the most. Gave us the estimate first and began working right away. He was clean, quick, professional and very experienced. We have found our plumbers!!! We're already planning when they'll be coming back to fix some other issues we have.

I bought a kitchen sink and had it at my house. The plumber arrived and said he could do it for $395. I thought that meant it would take around 4 hours to complete and would be the worst case scenario. The plumber was there for 2 hours and it still cost $395. The invoice didn't separate the parts cost for which we provided the sink so I was a little confused. I spoke with Patty from DAVIS and DAVIS PLUMBING INC and informed me that the parts were $30 so labor was $365 of the total.
So I basically paid this plumber $185 per hour ($365 / 2 hours). Patty was kind enough to inform me that he clocked 2.5 hours, which I disagree with. Even still, that would put the rate at $146 per hour. Patty didn't think this was excessive and sorry we felt it was.
She said they were going to be taken off of Angie's List and didn't care if I provided a bad review. I found this company through Angie's List and hopefully you will heed my warning and not use this company. They were polite and professional but I felt the price is excessive.

Called Davis and Davis at 9 am. Was told that a plumber couldn't be there till 3:00 or 4:00 because they were so busy that day. This was fine with me. Around 10:30 the plumber called and said that he would be there in about 10 minutes and he was! He lit the pilot light and offered to clean the water heater which I agreed to. He was professional and courteous. Would use them again.

Excellent job. Very pleased with everything. Price was lower than expected. Crew was nice and took time to explain all steps they did. I would recommend this company to anybody and everybody.

Fixed several leaks (sink, bathtub), installed a new shower head, and a new tank and toilet. He was prompt, informed, and courteous.

It went great. he went and got everything we need to do the work in just a few hours everything was done. He also haul way old cabinets,sink and pipes. Would use again.

The job was done in a timely and professional manner. The workman cleaned up everything after he was finished. He asked if I had any questions about the work after it was completed. He made sure that there were no leaks by running water through the pipes. The pricing was fair and the service was great. I was very pleased with his work.

The men were very professional in writing the estimate, explaining all to be done. They we on time and told us exactly how long our services would be out. They finished the work on time and were very careful with our carpet, putting drop cloths down on the places they were walking. We were very satisfied with the price and the work done. We would recommend Davis and Davis to anyone needing plumbing services.

While in the process of re-doing our bathroom on our own, my husband and I decided that we would be more comfortable with a plumber doing the install of the toilet and the drain pipe under the sink that we broke during the demolition. While they were going to be here I decided to have the outside faucet fixed, it cracked and started to leak during a freeze last winter.
The gentleman came and looked at the jobs that needed doing. He told me that he could do them all, but it would be better for me if the cabinet was installed before he repaired the drain. He offered to re-install the cabinet, but sadly, I haven't been able to prepare the space for it yet. He suggested that I call and have him come back once the cabinet was installed, or the wall was ready for it to be installed. He also said he could repair the pipe now, but it was not the best option for me in the long run, and most likely I would still need to call him back out.
I have been using them since I first moved into this house. They call before they come and are always on time. While they are here they are very polite to me and kind to my dog. I have total confidence and trust in them. They also insist on wearing protective foot covering to protect my floor from anything they might drag in, even though I try to insist this isn't necessary.
Today's appointment was scheduled but I have used them in the past on an emergency basis and they were here within the hour.
I would and do recommend them and I will always call them whenever I need a plumber.

The toilet broke on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I didn't think it would be possible to get it fixed over the holiday weekend. Angie's List gave me options for plumbers and Davis and Davis stated they worked 24/7, with no overtime or emergency fee. I called and was able to schedule a repair for the next day. She stated the plumber would call between 10 am and noon. He called at 10:30 a.m., and was at my house at 11:00 a.m. All before the Thanksgiving holiday! He was professional and complete.
