I found him because he was doing a screened-in deck and patio at a neighbors house when I met him and it looks like he did a fabulous job. I got bids all over the place including $6,000. $5,000 and $4,000. He came in under $2,000. Sounds like this guy can do anything. He's got a veteran from the Iraq war as one of his top workers and he is very efficient. This is the first time I have used him. They are good at what they do. They say what they are going to do and they do it. They are clean and efficient. They are easy to work with and they listen to me, plus I got a great estimate. It was more than half less of what everyone else was quoting me. The job is not done; they started two days ago. I am supplying all the materials so basically I am only paying for labor. The other places charged like they were also supplying the materials; it was ridiculous.
*Updated 6/24/2015- They didn't pay attention to detail. They were sloppy. I had to go back and fix some of the things they didn't do correctly. They are not detail orientated. I am changing my original A grade to a B.
"I will fill the holes in her siding. She told my men to leave before they could do it. I will replace the cover for $100 like I said I would. The retail price for changing the cover is $ 625. I will slide the awning over 18 inches to the center of the door. I will not take it down again at no charge. I installed and removed the first awning at no charge and lost $1000 by taking it back. I have not been able to resell it. She looked at the color outside several times and said it was the best color for the house. I have a signed contract with the same color for the 2nd awning she ordered. I suggest roof mound brackets but she did not want to pay for it. I said I would defer the payments to help her out and she said she didn’t need to and paid me in full. Ms. Leathem said she would call me if she had a problem. She wrote to you instead and twisted the facts to hurt my business. I suggested motorized awnings because I didn’t think she could operate the manual ones. (I was right) I suggested a smaller awning to save money. She said no. She wanted her door completely covered when we were installing it. She asked me into the house to pay me. I told her everything I was doing and she stood there and said it was fine. I have over 30 installed awnings with no complaints."
