We are so happy we've found Commonwealth Roofing for our commercial needs!  They have replaced several roofs for us, and are prompt when we call for service on any of our properties.  They are honest, friendly, and professional.

Commonwealth Roofing did a professional job. Everyone i talked to was knowledgeable and on time. Commonwealth Roofing was the only company i received estimates from that did not ask how much my insurance check was. We had hail damage. They gave me an estimate which was less that the other estimates, and explained the steps they would take to remove my old roof and install the new roof. The roof was installed in a timely manner, clean up was done and i was totally satisfied. I worked with Kyle who i have referred several times. We worked with Kyle Hampton and he did an excellent job. They had done some work on a previous house we owned. We had an insurance inspector come out and Kyle was here and looked at the roof with the inspector. We had damage from squirrels eating part of the roof. Everyone was in agreement what caused the damage. Kyle came back to the house and helped us pick out the the roof Commonwealth would install. We had new flashing, new roof, five vents and new gutters installed. The work crew did an excellent job. They were fast and efficient. Kyle did a proposal that we agreed on and everything on the proposal was done in an excellent manner. We paid one half up front and the balance on completion. I would use Commonwealth Roofing again and recommend them.

Awesome experience! Commonwealth has to be the best roofing contractor in town. A friend of mine was having problems finding a roofing company that would work on old tile roofs. Someone referred Commonwealth to him and he told me how great they were. So going off two recommendations I thought to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. I dealt with Bruce and he was outstanding to work with. He was always on time and returned my calls promptly. (which is extremely rare these days) He came over and gave me my different options and told me that only the front half of my house needed to be replaced. My roof did not require immediate attention so Bruce asked me if it could wait till after KY Derby as they were re-roofing the stables at Churchill Downs at that time. As soon as they finished there they came over and completed my job in one day (5 hours). The crew was very polite, professional and hard working. They covered all my landscaping and all the debris was cleaned up. My roof looks awesome and I have not had any problems. Even if there was a chance I did have a problem I know that Bruce\Commonwealth would take care of it. Thanks Commonwealth for such awesome customer service.

We were very pleased with our service from Commonwealth Roofing. We had used their company 18 years ago and was pleased that they gave us a good price again. The people representing the company were good to work with and the work was well dome. They cleaned up nicely when they were through.

The experience was very smooth. I appreciated the care they took in trying to match the shingle color. Because of the attention that Commonwealth Roofing Corp. paid to my roof now, I might have just added years to its lifetime.

I am still in negotiations with them now. I paid for half a roof to be done and they agreed upon the sales price. It was supposed to be the whole roof. We have a very old house and they wrote up the contract to do all of the shingles but not the slate which is 1/3 of the roof. They quoted me a price, it was reasonable, we signed a contract, they came out and lo and behold and spent all day. They had a lot of workers, got it all done but they only did half the roof. They didn't know that the other roof line, we have numerous roof lines, they just assumed the rest was slate. I practically begged the salesman to go up on the roof. He said no, they could measure from here, they don't have to go up there, blah, blah, blah. I know the owner and we worked it out that we only have to pay for the other half. They haven't been back to do it yet but because of the fact that there has been numerous phone calls from his salesman and us trying to upsale things because they know they are going to get hosed, we decided that we are not going to do it because we will sit down there and think the entire time they are doing it that they are going to have to make up their money somehow and there is going to be an add on. They are going to find something that is wrong that may not be wrong. It will be a whole question thing. We paid them half they did half and we are going to cut our losses. I don't want this to reflect badly on Nathan at all. It is just sales and their continuing, instead of just saying we are doing it all same price, our fault, we'll be out there tomorrow, they just have done this whole song and dance and it has been 3 weeks now and they haven't come back and done the other half. Either way, he is going to lose and we are going to lose. We had raccoon damage, which is what prompted the roof repair in the first place. We had a contractor come and look at it and when he was up there his heel when through one of the patches that the animal control had put on from the raccoon damage. It wasn't leaking but it wasn't secure from other raccoons. It would say it was about a softball size hole where his heel pushed through the shingle and paper. So, I have some questions about that quality even though everything else looks really tight it has now made me really wonder about the durability. The salesman did offer to go up and check it and all that good stuff but it was just a song and dance that it is an old roof, these things happen with an old roof. I thought, why didn't you include that in the quote. There was one part of the roof that had had a metal roof on it at one time and they just shingled over it. They wanted to charge me extra for taking the metal roof off. I said, well, you would have known had you given me a correct bid and if he had gotten up there. They are very attentive when they know they are getting some money out of it. This has been going on for 2 weeks and when they found out that we weren't going to go with any upgrades, he asked to talk to my husband about it and get back with him. I said well, call me or whatever. Well, that was a week ago last Monday and I haven't heard from him. I haven't called him either but it was, if they wanted to do it right and do what they said they were going to do by following through you would have thought that they would have called. They know they are going to lose money so why put the effort in?

Our sales contact was Bruce Wilson. He was very responsive to my emails and calls and questions. My only complaint (which is a mild one) is that I was unable to communicate with the work crew as much as I would like because they didn't speak fluent English. However, there were no issues or concerns with the work. The new roof looks great, and we have had not a single problem with any leaks or other issues since installation two months ago. Would recommend them to friends and family.

Excellent service and communication. After the installation a plumber caused a leak replacing a radon vent pipe and they came out immediately in the rain and repaired the problem---even though it was not caused by them. Ron was my contact and he was outstanding. It was a huge job on a very bad roof and was handled admirably. I am so happy with the materials used and the professionalism and responsiveness of this contractor. I would recommend them VERY highly.

They came to patch several areas where we have leaks. They did a repair, but we still had leaks. They came back again and spent hours trying to find where the leak was coming from. They were always very professional and always with a positive attitude.
They are the BEST, and when we go to put a new roof on our home, we won't consider using any other roofing company!!!

Quality job. Came and finished on time. Our new roof looks great. I had one small issue with the job, but they sent someone out immediately to clear it up. They were honest and helpful. I will use them again.

We have been working with this firm for over a year to repair hail damage to our roofs which should have been completed within 2-3 months at the longest. Initially the owner of the business came out and offered to take complete care of the project including acting as liaison between ourselves and the insurance company. However, every time I contacted them to check on the project I was given a different story and excuse for why they had not done the work. apparently there was no communication within their organization. A different person came out almost every time making different promises, none of which were fulfilled.

The quality of the work is marginal. They were supposed to replace the gutter guard on a large section of our roof. At first they denied this was part of the insurance settlement. Then they came out and showed me a product which I agreed to. However they installed a completely different product.

During the course of the project we, in good faith, paid for work completed as it was accomplished. However we finally were forced to hold back payment in order to force them to complete the work which was just recently done. Now, within just a few weeks they are nagging me to pay the final bill.

I do not believe the company was being dishonest nor deceptive. I simply think they are negligent, disorganized and incompetent. I wrote two letters to the owner of the business expressing my frustration and dissatisfaction. He never even responded to the first letter and only made excuses in the second letter. He never called or came out to deal with the situation himself. We will not do business with them in the future.

It went well enen though it took a little while to get the work scheduled. Of greatest importance is that the final price was much less than the estimate.

I HAVE USED THEM BEFORE. THEY WERE FINE. THEY ARE GOING TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT AND ON TIME. IT IS ABOUT DONE AND WHAT THEY HAVE DONE LOOKS GREAT FROM WHAT I CAN SEE.
