On time, professional, reasonable.  I've used them before for my rental properties.   Will use again.

Nearly a last minute call. Situation as a result of a legal case. Could not be happier with them. Used in the past...will in the future.

I used them before 5 years ago and decided to use them again.  It went fine.  They rekeyed 10 locks.  The guys name is Kevin and he did a fine job of explaining the steps, and why, and showing me things about locks.  He was very helpful.

Colgate rekeyed 2 of our locks & replaced another.  Work was done quickly & efficiently.  They arrived when promised and were very professional.

I rate them very highly on all aspects of their work and I would recommend them to others.

I had Colgate come out to change the keys on my new home and repair two old door locks. The repairman explained to me that I had a specialized key set and he could only replace the whole lock. The estimate was over $300. I chose not to replace the keys. On the old doors, though, he worked on both replacing a spring in one and the locking mechanism in the other. He was very knowledgeable about the service. However, two days later, the doorknob fell off the front door and the other door would not lock. I called again to see about getting these repaired. Another party answered and I explained the situation. I could hear the repairman complaining about me asking them to be fixed in the background. He got on the phone and started to defensively tell me that "he TOLD me those locks were hard to fix and that he did the best he could". I responded that, regardless, I paid for two doors to be fixed which were now not working in less than a week. He griped some more but agreed to come out again. He sent another repairmen out to work on them who was a very nice guy. His demeanor was much more pleasant. He got them both fixed. But the overall experience made me feel bad. I didn't like his defensiveness and aggressive nature on the phone when I had just paid $156 to have two doors fixed. It left me feeling uneasy.

Punctual, Professional, Affordable and very friendly.  The guy arrived at my house, got to work and got the two doors done.

When I made the arrangements, I told them I would not be available until after 1pm. I understood them to tell me that someone would be there between 1pm and 1:30pm. At 1:30, I called and they said they were on another job, but would call when they were on their way. The serviceman didn't show up until 3pm and since I had another appointment at 3:30pm, I had to leave and return later. It took him about an hour and the job was done well. In selecting Colgate, I obtained three estimates and they were the lowest by far. Would definitely use them again.

Very good experience with Colgate. I recieved two calls in advance of the locksmith arriving. When he arrived he got right to work and performed the services perfectly in a very short amount of time. He lubricated all of the locks and was very professional. Will use again.

This guy showed up on time and even called before arriving. Upon entering the house, my Boston Terrier bit the tech's shoe. He also has a female Boston Terrier and was okay with the "assault." The door knob & lock were replaced quickly and he ground a key that fit all of my locks PERFECTLY. The price didn't seem too unreasonable and the service was awesome.

Locks were changed after moving into home. Locksmith met me at the home at the time specified, was very professional and punctual. An estimate on the work was provided and the work was completed as per the estimate. He also pointed out a couple of problems with the current lock that could be corrected for a small additional fee if I felt it was necessary, but I did not feel pressured into purchasing. I compared prices, and Colgate was very reasonable in comparison with others.

It went well for the most part. The service man was very friendly and professional. He showed up on time and completed the job in about an hour. I'm concerned about the lock that was done on the rear of the house though. I tried to catch him before he left but he was already gone. I tried to lock the door with the new key and for some reason the key will not release in the fully locked position. I have to spin the key back around to get it to release which still locks the door but doesn't feel like it is fully engaged. It could be me but it feels a bit strange. I may have them come out a 2nd time to double check it or just replace the lock completely myself. The lock on the front of the house works great!

They came out promptly and did a great job. The only thing you need to be aware of is they charge $1 per mile outside the Synder.

Ryan called before he came over, even though I had an appointment with him. He was thorough, running through what I wanted before he began work, worked unsupervised (I had other workers at the house performing other services), and then went through what he did with each door when he was finished. He was polite and competent.

They were very professional over then phone when I called and were able to give me a good ballpark estimate of the work I was requesting. They came out on time and worked very hard to get the job done. The workman was professional and the results excellent.

After purchasing my new home, I wanted to change all the locks. I called Colgate in the morning, they gave me an estimate ($180), and scheduled an appointment for the same afternoon. The Colgate employee showed up at the scheduled time and walked through the house with me to inspect the work. He told me the drawbacks and benefits of each choice, but said he would do whatever I wanted. I had changed my mind about some of the work I had requested when I called for the estimate, so the employee discussed the additional costs prior to starting the work. Overall, it was a great experience and I will use Colgate for all of my locksmith needs. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a locksmith.

The service was great. They were in and out within twenty minutes. The price was reasonable. They were responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend them.

When we bought the house the previous owner did not want to leave, so once he left I called Colgate to come change the locks. It was Friday afternoon when I called and they sent someone out that day. I wanted to use them since I have had them do work for me in the past and I know how careful they are with older homes, and older doors. They showed up the same day and did the work, and rekeyed four doors to all have the same key. They took care with the older doors and even had to pick one of the locks in order to work on the door.

I called this company after reading their reports here on Angie's List. I just bought an old Victorian home and wanted to replace all the deadbolts locks so I could have a single key for entry. The customer service was excellent. They estimated the cost over the phone at around $150 which sounded reasonable. When the service guy, Adam, showed up he suggested we just re-key the old locks to save replacement costs. He finished in under one hour, was very clean and careful with the old woodwork. Very affordable, professional locksmith. This is the first time I have used Angie's List as to actually find a contractor. The List worked for me.

Great! He was very polite and did a wonderful job. They showed up same day I called for a phone estimate and the price was very reasonable. The final price was more than the estimate they gave me over the phone but considering how much work he did making sure the hardware was installed correctly I have no complaints. Everything looks great and he even asked for a broom to clean up his mess.

When I scheduled the appointment, the estimated price was $75.00, and I was told to expect the serviceman between 8:00am and noon the next morning. He called at 8:50 to let me know he was on his way. He was professional and courteous. The locks were changed quickly and efficiently. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend Colgate for any locksmith needs.
