CHEM-DRY OF LOUISVILLE

I first started using Chem Dry of Louisville about 3 years ago.  I have a Berber style carpet with a waffle pattern on my stairs that developed a dirty grey wear path.  Previously, I had two different carpet cleaning companies come out to work on the stairs, but neither was able to get the grey staining out.  One of the cleaners told me that it was a problem with the waffle pattern of the carpet and that it was impossible to remove the staining.  I had heard good things about Chem Dry, so I decided to make a last ditch effort to save the carpet.  When Chem Dry finished with the stairs, they looked new again. I have been a customer ever since. They are professional, efficient, and even vacuum the carpet before cleaning.  I highly recommend Chem Dry of Louisville.

I have used the company twice so far. The father and son of the company were very nice and professional. They did a great job and I felt very comfortable with them in my home. We have used several other companies in the past and they provided the best cleaning service. I had no problem scheduling the job. I did have to call to follow up on our most recent appointment. They ended up missing the appointment. They apologized and came out the day after the original appointment.

Cleaners arrived early and started to prepare (before ever coming to the door to let me know they were here). When someone finally came to the door, he promptly propped the storm door open (which I had to have him close to prepare for animals in the house). He came in and asked which rooms to be cleaned and I told him. Then he was getting ready to go back outside and I asked if he could explain a little bit about their process and what all they would be doing. He seemed very annoyed by my questions, acting as if I should clearly know the answers already.
The other cleaner came in and was very pleasant and helpful and explained more what all they would be doing. The other gentleman came back in and started spraying the carpet. I asked, and quot;Aren't you all going to wear booties or something when you come back in? You're already tracking in stuff from outside.and quot; and he said and quot;No, what about it?and quot; Again, with a very curt attitude. He then said and quot;You have so much stuff on your sidewalk, there's no way we wouldn't track stuff in and as much as we're going in and out, we're not going to stop everytime and change. We will get it all swept up, I promise.and quot;
This was the last straw - and had my husband been home, they would have been gone and our money would have been refunded. However, I let them continue. When they were finished, the carpet looked clean. The next day, the carpet felt like they never retracted the soap they used. It still feels like there is soap in it. Mind you, it's not the newest carpet, but it's never felt like this before.
Another word of advice - they specifically told me that they do things different than the Chem-Dry franchise, so they seem like a rogue carpet cleaning company. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had to give the Professionalism a and quot;Dand quot; because I dealt with the one gentleman more than the other guy (who was an and quot;Aand quot;).

On the appointment day, they showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. Everything went great - until it was time to pay the bill. I had received an estimate for around $365 but was presented a bill for $535 or so!! When I asked about the discrepancy, I was told that a) the couch had more cushions than normal, b) I hadn't mentioned a carpeted landing, c) setup was more difficult being in a condo, and d) we applied carpet protectant after cleaning. I had specifically declined the protectant when I called but they applied it anyhow. I take the blame for not mentioning the landing, but my contention was that they should have mentioned these up barges BEFORE starting the work, not afterwards! In their defense, they did offer to knock off the charge for the protectant but I went ahead and paid it since they did perform the work... Bottom one - good work, nice people, and fair ESTIMATES. Just make sure you negotiate the price before the work actually starts.

They lack customer service etiquette. It wasn’t a pleasant experience and I was disappointed with that.

This company was great to work with. They were on time. The technician asked me questions about possible stains, pet stains, and the traffic patterns in the room to be cleaned. She explained the chemicals she would use and how long it would take her to clean the carpet. The great looked when she finished and dried in the amount of the time we when told it take. The technician was very polite and friendly.

They do an excellent job. It does not make the carpets wet. I'm thinking about using them again in the near future.

I LIKE THEM, AND THAT'S THE REASON I USE THEM. MY CARPET IS NOT WET WHEN THEY LEAVE. I CAN START WALKING ON IT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. WITH OTHER COMPANIES, IT TAKES DAYS TO DRY. THEY DO THEIR JOB. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO. I LIKE THE JOB THEY DO.

THEY'RE NOT TOO PRICEY, THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT ARE CHEAPER WON'T BE VERY HIGH QUALITY. THEY'RE NOT SOAKING YOUR CARPETS. THEY WERE FRIENDLY, ON TIME, THEY REMEMBER YOUR NAME, AND ASK YOU ABOUT YOUR FAMILY. I WILL ONLY USE THEM EXCLUSIVELY FOR AS LONG AS THEY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
