Painters were given strict instruction as to which paint was meant to go in which rooms. The first day, they painted our kitchen with the wrong paint. The representative that we dealt with was very accommodating but at the end of our project, most of the rooms have spots that were missed, trim that wasn't completely finished, and trim lines are not straight. The rep stated they would use caulk to fill in holes to the trim and the top to help it blend better, this was not true for our project. I am still working with the representative to decide if I want them to come back out and fix all of the issues.

Not well at all. We were quoted for 2 coats, but only one was done. They came back and added another coat to only 1 wall. There was a lot of paint splatter on cabinets, baseboards, and floors. They came back and wiped some of it up. They tore the floor in our kitchen, violated our privacy by rummaging through our garage for glue, used it to fix the tear, then didn't call to tell us it had even happened. When asked why we didn't get a call, the painter stated, "we just freaked out". A bottle of bourbon from our liquor cabinet was opened while they were here and a dirty glass with bourbon residue was left in an upstairs bathroom. We had a half full bottle of that same bourbon in our closet, so if they really needed it, they could have had that, I suppose. I was not home during the painting because I was told it was better to be out of the way. I definitely stayed when they came back for the "touch ups". While they did give us a decent discount after complaining, we still paid well over the job's value. There are still some spots that need that second coat they were supposed to do in the first place, but I cannot have them back in my home.

Very well. The painters were on time, very courteous, very neat. They did an excellent job of painting our Kitchen. Cleaned up and left our home spotless.

My interior walls were showing extreme signs of wear and tear and they made them as good as new. Then they painted all my walls and trim. They were prompt, always showing up when they said they would and the quality of their work was tremendous. I highly recommend Lee and his entire crew.

Went very well. They showed up as promised and did everything they said they would. The employees were very courteous and you could tell they cared about the quality of their work.

Project was performed on schedule and at the proposed cost. Work was done well and the end result was a great looking exterior paint job on a 2-story (plus attic) wood sided house. Job site was left clean at the end of each day and at the end of the project. There was some confusion during the project about the color of the front door; however the crew returned promptly after project completion to re-paint the door, at no additional cost. I was pleased with the end result of the project.

We had a great experience with CertaPro Painters and were happy with the job they did. We weren't home at the time they came and when we returned there was one section the porch that once dried didn't look as great as the rest of the porch, I'm super picky. They were super nice and came back out to touch it up to my satisfaction. I was pleased with their work, office management, and communication. I would absolutely use them again.

An absolute AWFUL EXPERIENCE with this company!!! Although Lee appears to be a very nice guy, unfortunately that does not make up for the lack of quality and lack of attention to detail, in the job I received; ESPECIALLY for the price. So, unless YOU, the consumer/homeowner, have the time and patience to micromanage EVERY ASPECT OF THE JOB, steer clear away from this company.
After agreeing to the exorbitant price (simply because I was tired of getting estimates, they were already in the neighborhood, and reading Angie's list reviews) I was ready to move forward. I equated a premium price with a premium outcome, and I couldn't have been more wrong. This company/group of "painters" ensued in reeking havoc on my house and my life.
It quickly became very evident that Lee/Certapro had unleashed a group of unskilled workers/day laborers who had obviously never done this type of work before, a day in their lives. After being told that the job would take "about a week", the job took approximately a month to simply paint the trim and put the windows back on my house.
After DISCOVERING the FIRST broken storm window, I called Dana or Lee, who was quick to respond. I asked Lee point blank, "Is this a group that you trust can do this work?' My instincts and everything within me told me to fire this company immediately, but I decided to give them another chance (based on Angie's list reviews). The next day I discovered my landscape lights weren't working anymore, as one laid disassembled on the ground for no apparent reason. Again, I called Lee/Dana to complain. Lee responded with apprehension, as if I had broken my own lights. I was beginning to feel as if I was expecting too much or I was nit-picking.
Finally, after the 3rd or 4th day, I returned home to find the "PAINTERS" gone and ladders removed. Apparently, they were done, or SO THEY THOUGHT. During my inspection, I discovered that EVERY window was put back on the house WITHOUT CALK, without painted window sills, ill fitted with gaps that they wanted to fill with wood and calk, backwards, dirty, unscrewed (I'm still discovering loose screws on my window sills that weren't used) and just WRONG!! Again, I called Lee. Ultimately, I refused to let any of them work without Lee present. At that point I was totally convinced that not one individual in this group had done this type of work. Unfortunately, my home to too big/tall for me to see what type of paint job (if any) was given to top of my home AND I doubt very seriously that I was given 2 coats of paint anywhere on my house.
After the broken storm window was repaired by a hardware store, the "PAINTERS" returned. This time I discovered, as they tried to hide it, a broken frame. I completely lost it!!!! Lee was very apologetic as he listened to me yell and rant, on the phone, about the quality of work I was receiving and how I did NOT appreciate Certapro sending a group of guys to my house who had obviously NEVER done this work. They were dismissed AGAIN and told not to come to my house without Lee!!
In conclusion, I don't blame the laborers, but I do blame Certapro for hiring/using people to work, that have no knowledge, skill, experience, or pride in what they do. I also blame Lee for his lack of management. This company disrespected me by disrespecting my home with these day laborers wearing Certapro tshirts. I'm still finding areas that need touching up

"I am sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused during the project. We strongly believe we have addressed all issues and concerns identified through out the process while also delivering what we promised. In addition we also addressed and repaired pre-existing issues. Some of the pre-existing issues were created by previously improperly installed storm windows, along with condition of pre-existing rotting surfaces which we had no choice but to repair with caulk and putty since carpentry was not being pursued. I would like to point out that the majority of the storm window screws were replaced with new screws. The loose screws left on the sills were the old screws that were replaced, it was not acceptable to leave them there. I would also like to assure you that we did apply a full prime and a full finish coat on the entire project. A "two coat system", is our standard on all our exterior projects. As a matter of fact upon your request, we did repaint an entire area (per your line of questioning, to alleviate any doubt; in essence providing a 3rd coat at no extra charge) I can assure you, we do not hire Day laborers. All our painters are professionals and their main source of income is from painting. Besides hiring professional painters, all our projects get audited twice a year for insurance, and we pay taxes on all revenue. We are not perfect, but more importantly we accept our responsibilities seriously and will address concerns immediately and correctly."

We could not have been more pleased with the professional service we received from CertaPro and Lee Sapata, CertaPro's owner. Lee visited twice to give estimates on the jobs we had in mind. We originally called about having just the tin roof over our portico repainted. On that visit, I showed him some rotting wood trim on the front porch of the house and around our family room addition, and asked for his advice on what we should do with it. He recommended an excellent contractor who was able to repair or replace everything within a week of our calling. (Another contractor previously told us we would have to tear out and replace all of the siding and trim on the addition, at a cost of nearly $16,000 - so Lee saved us $15,000!) Once we got our woodwork repaired, Lee came out for a second estimate to repaint all of our addition siding, windows and trim.
All of the cleaning, prepping and painting was completed last week and we couldn't be more pleased with how nice the house looks. Lee came out on Saturday to check on the work and help us with one stuck window - he's also given me advice about appropriate paints, products and techniques for some interior work we plan on doing.
I would absolutely use CertaPro again for any future painting needs.

We were pleased with them. We plan to use them again in summer. We were happy with them. They were very professional. They did what they said they would do. I thought they were impressive enough to use them again. Since it was a sizeable project, it was several thousand dollars, they had a payment plan which really made into the part of our planning. They used quality paint. They were very good at it.

It was wonderful. They were so obliging and they did a fabulous job. They were on time and conscientious. They were excellent. My friend used them first and they were real happy with them and so we used them. The guy who came and did the work, I would recommend him. He was just prompt and worked so hard. I will use them again in the future. The owner came out and checked everything, made sure that everything was clear and that they were using the right kind of paint. They were great.
